Yes the bulbs are indexed, the instructions are clear and tell you the bulb needs to be installed. It is very easy to do.

I bought a 2022 Sr access with 5k miles a month ago. So far I’ve added the tail gate defender, the OEM black tail pipe, rough country seat covers, center cubby organizer, husky weather mats, blacked out toyota emblem in the steering wheel, booster and air compressor, 2022 trd off road wheels and tires (used from a buddies Tacoma), and 20% tint. Very happy with it so far. Next on my list are the soft roll tonneau, bed mat, fog lights and ditch lights. Maybe running boards after that.
@MAGR1994Ай бұрын
What running board are those?
@mustangecoboosthpp3869Ай бұрын
I purchased my running boards from Summit racing, these are Raptor running boards. They are very high quality but a word about running boards, if I had it to do over I would have purchased a set with a step instead, the reason is the cab is not tall and this style running board puts you so far up that you have to relearn how to get in and out with this style running board. The ones with a step that is a little lower on the running board would make entry and exit a little easier. Having said that I do not regret purchasing the Raptor running boards because they are a quality product that will last the life of the truck. I have adjusted how I get in and exit the cab and I have no desire to replace these running boards. I am happy with them.

Interesting about being torqued wrong from factory. In the comment section of another video a guy said he check his himself, he said it seems like they were more at 25 then 41. I had mine done and they said it was fine, but now the thumping that I heard and felt when breaking is gone, so that tells me they weren't at proper torque. What frustrating is that I have taken this truck in 3 times for scheduled service, and each time I told them I can hear and feel a thump coming from the rear when I break, they did nothing about it.

Beware of these covers if you intend to own your truck for an extended period of time. I put one on my 2017 Honda Ridgeline shortly after I bought the truck. After six years the rubber seals between the panels began to deteriorate and tear. I called the manufacturer to buy replacement seals for the panels and they told me they do not sell the seals but would happily sell me a new cover with a discount. Horrible customer service and just plain terrible business practices. I would not recommend these covers explicitly because of the problem and the customer service

Dose this work on a diesel with 2 batteries?
@mustangecoboosthpp38692 ай бұрын
you would need to disconnect both batteries, depending on the year and manufacture how they store the permanent codes this may work and it may not work. If they are storing the code by writing to memory then you will have to use a computer to erase it, if it is stored in flash memory that requires power they it should erase the code. Like anything else some manufactures make it as hard as possible to erase these codes. One other thing is the problem has to be corrected before erasing the code or the code will still show up.

What are the bolts used
@mustangecoboosthpp38692 ай бұрын
You can purchase them at hobby shops, they are used for radio controlled airplanes and such. They work fine for this application. You can also go to Home Depot or Lowe's or ACE Hardware and buy something similar.

Every nut needs pulled and inspected under nut for slag. This is way you don’t go by KZbin for professional issues. Take it to your dealer! You run the risk of catastrophic failure.

What percentage tint to match?
@mustangecoboosthpp38693 ай бұрын
I went with legal tint on the front windows following Florida law, it is very close to the factory tint but maybe a little lighter.
@justinsnyder68813 ай бұрын
Also have to check the stud for welding splatter and the stud would be replaced if the stud has splatter. If there is splatter under the nut. It gets filed and the nut is replaced with a new nut. A second visit is required for the stud replacement. They mark it with a paint pen and order parts. Its a big job if studs have to get replaced. Its a quick in and out if its just the inspection, slag removal and nut replaced.

No relays needed, this is all plug and play, the wiring hardness is already being the plate, just install the switch and plug in the harness.

@Nightowl-OO3 ай бұрын
Best explanation to date! More plausible that a combination of slag and under torquing the nuts. I agree with you on using med thread locker. After torquing the nut you can always mark the nut with a sharpie and see if any of the nuts loosen

@mustangecoboosthpp38693 ай бұрын
I did a second video after getting information that came from the actual recall procedure and the recall procedure calls for 41 ft lbs of torque. See the second video to what to look for when you remove each nut one at a time and if weld splatter is found under a nut what to do.
@JoeKubinec2 ай бұрын
@@mustangecoboosthpp3869 Some are saying that the primary reason for the recall was to get the nuts torqued to the proper (41ft-lb) value and the slag inspection was a ruse. IDK what to think anymore.
@mustangecoboosthpp38692 ай бұрын
@@JoeKubinec I think the torque spec was the bigger issue, Toyota upped the torque spec quite a bit.

I just did mine today and all 8 were fine. However, I did fine a spatter of weld slag near one bolt on the driver side…the bottom bolt closest to the front of the truck, but it did not affect the seating of the bolt. It took me about 30min. I used 41ft/lb and blue lock tite per your recommendation…thank you!

Toyota started lying big time recently. They bring in the 2025 landcruiser prado to the USA and call it just landcruiser 250 and inflate the price by $10K for the same truck sold elsewhere in the world.
