I love her singing so much but all the contemporary material is so somber and depressing sounding. I've listened to several of the recordings she's made, every time it's contemporary or outside the standard lyric mezzo baroque and classical rep, it's somber.

I heard Joshua in Santa Fe in 2006 and have remembered what a beautiful, focused tone his voice had. The voice is still beautiful.

The big voices assayed the gospel songs. I can't help but think this is among the very strongest devotional examples. Came with chills when I first heard Fernando Ortega sing it.

Good heavens, Rodney Gilfry is a talented opera singer. No wonder I have a crush on him. Peter Walsh is an excellent pianist even though I bet that it took patience for him to play that 🎹well. In fact, I've seen an opera in elementary school, but I don't remember the title of it. Time flies when I'm finally employed at a commercial real estate company, LOL.
