I'm currently in Panama City Beach for Christmas. We are staying at the Palmetto beach resort and it's absolutely stunning. I also lives in the Tampa area, Plant City to be exact. We usually go to Treasure Island and stay at the Bilmar but due to hurricane Milton the Bilmar is closed until April. The best way to explain Panama City Beach is it's a dream you don't want to wake up from. I have been to the Caribbean several times and I can truthfully say that Panama City Beach is on top for me. It's well worth the 6 hour drive. We ended up paying under $650 for a week. This is due to it being the off season and during Christmas. Anyone who is considering a vacation in Panama City I would say go for it. I highly recommend it!!

FYI there is a park in St Augistine that is owned by Spain and is still technically considered Spanish Territory. When you step into it, you are no longer in the US, but instead, Spain.

We stayed on Anna Maria island in the 90s, and then discovered Destin and Sandestin, Sanibel Island in 1999, then found Siesta Key and spent one vacation in Santa Rosa. We prefer the gulf to the Atlantic, but I’d like to go to the beaches near Palm Beach if I get a chance.

My cousins lived outside Miami. When I was a teenager I spent a month of the summer with them. They went to the beach once. My cousin Billy, who is my age, and I rode his motorcycle to the beach one other time. That was it. Kinda like the rich family everyone knew with a huge pool they never used.

I lived in Vero Beach for a decade; it is beautiful and it is like being on a Caribbean Island holiday all year long!✈😎🏖

Had a cruise on the Horizon to the ABCs early 2023 and agree with most of the things you said, especially your complaint about walking through the constantly smoky casino (even on port days when it's closed). As a vegetarian, I find the food in the MDR to be lacking: their offerings are the same for that every night and is boring (do love the chocolate melting cake, however). The other included venues are just fine for me--the Marketplace varies each day and has lots of choices for us, the Blue Iguana is just awesome, Guys gets us something we can eat (great fries and a no-meat burger, though a veggie burger would be nice) and the pizza, IMO is just so-so. Love all the different venues and all the included entertainment. I totally agree about the piano bar--it's a BLAST! We are seriously considering another visit to the ABCs on the Horizon--everything was happily memorable.

Is going to Destin during Christmas time a good option? Or will it be too cold to step into water?

There is so much river why hang out behind those homes ? Also a big group could have Airbnb the home and hanging out partying right in front of it could also piss people who live permanently so it could be the ones who rent there homes out at fault as well

I like your attitude about the ships food. I have seen in other vlogs whereas people just complain and critique all the food. Whereas l just wonder if at their own hometowns and homes , they eat only in 5 stars restaurants frequently and their home-refrigerators are stocked with only the finest cuts of prime rib,filet mignon , lobster, halibut . Or better yet if they have their own private chefs preparing their meals.

When I lived in Florida, my idea of a vacation was a place outside of the state. Now that I moved out, Florida is not even on my list of vacation destinations. I’ve had enough of that state to last two lifetimes.
