I believe the real issue was that the last note needs to be held for two beats. I was just hitting each note on each beat and couldn't get it after multiple attempts. However, after holding the last note longer, it instantly worked.

So i made it through 75% of this game on a 3ds XL got to the sand sanctuary and the mic just would not pick the notes up. Its a shame there was no alternate way to use the flute 😑

I saved the game each time I crossed the planks. If you fall you then just exit the game and load.

Spirit tracks is my favourite, non open world, Zelda game but god do I hate the pan flute mechanic. It’s such a clever idea, but they executed it so poorly because you had to be so precise with it in the lokomo bits.

It would be easier on the DS and 3DS's, and not to be insulting or anything, but when I played the game and did the Lokomo songs, managed to get it right the first time round. Also, you need to do 6 songs with the lokomo's and that is not involving the other songs that you can learn and use throughout the game.

As someone who played this on DS as a teen I disagree lol. These sections took me HOURS, and the final boss took me days. So many say they never had a problem but I don't understand HOW, I wish I could be one of those people 😅 I love literally everything else about this game but these sections haunt me and I'll probably never be able to beat it again. Mayyyyybe a remake someday? 👀

Last year I got a DS to replay this one and phantom hourglass but the flute parts of the game almost made me quit for sure. I somehow made it through the whole game without throwing the DS thru a wall thankfully

Thank you for validating my younger self's rage and sadness back more than a decade ago. I nearly quit this game crying over being stuck at a more difficult song. Nintendo has had some hits, but they've also had some terrible misses. A lot of DS-specific mechanics could potentially ruin games. The phantom hourglass ironically had the best DS-specific mechanic for only one puzzle, which was closing the device to combine the top and bottom screen for a moment.

It is definitely in the realm of possibilities. I've had a few people ask me to do more of this kind of stuff. Because it's a repetitive process, I wasn't sure how entertaining it would be. But I'm not ruling it out

I tried several times to finish this but the hint is the metronome. My advice is not to listen to his instrument but to the metronome. Hope it helps. I'm playing this on Drastic.
