I don’t understand the point of the 147 when there is no way to organize it into anything. A larger rack would be great! A bigger 147 would be very useful but not if I can’t organize it.

I haven’t had a problem with the lack of interoperability of the mini systainer because they’re the only Systainers I own :) I have a couple of them and a couple of the narrow Milwaukee Packout. The Systainers are for lighter weight collections of small tools and parts. One of them has multimeters and probes, another has crimping tools and terminals and wire.

I don't know why this is so complicated. I was printing labels more easily back in the 1990s. They sell blank card paper with clear holders. Why not just have a MS Word template that's easy for everyone to download. There is no need for a $30+ PVC Card Tray. Sure, if that's what people want to do, but I would think we could have something in between a handwritten or labelmaker-generated Systainer labels and what this video shows. People have been doing this literally for decades. I just don't understand the hassle.
@SystainerStore7 ай бұрын
There are multiple ways one can make labels for a Systainer. Certainly this is one way. I like this method because of the solid durability of the card. There are plenty who are loving paper or card stock labels and an MS template as you suggested. In fact such a kit is sold at Systainer Store.

What's the purpose of the plywood bottom insert?
@SystainerStore Жыл бұрын
For me, the pylwood insert does two things. I think it gives a sturdier bottom to the foam. So it can ride on top of the crosses molding in the bottom. Next, for the items in the foam, I choose to cut all the way through the foam. So the pylwood is the backstop for those items. And in fact I have some cutout in the plywood to lock in the Organizer insert feet. It will make more sense as I show the "how I made it" video.
@DucPhan20 Жыл бұрын
@@SystainerStore thanks! I saw you guys are starting to sell the plywood inserts. Will you offer the file since I have a cnc I can use to cut it out. I recall reading something about that offer but can't find the file on your website

Hi, I love the idea of the sys 3 rails (the new slim line ones) so I can make plywood cabinets to stack my systainers in the van for transport, I expecially like that you have to lift the front a bit to take the systainer out suggting that they won't come loose while driving, however I can't get them in Europe, such a shame. Great video

I'd say ping your local Bott or Tanos dealer and make them know your desire! I've heard from many European Systainer users. I may have even shipped boxes and boxes of these to Europe.

Tim, we and I have discussed that the grab handle on the M-237 and taller systainers can also be replaced with the carry handle. I don't recommend carrying an M-237 or larger systainer by the handle, but it does make "grabbing" it a lot easier. I can grab it from the top or bottom and get a good grip on it rather than just my fingertips. I have bought several handles from Tim and replaced the grab handles on all my M-237 + size systainers. For me it has made a small but significant difference, thanks Tim! All the Best, Chuck

Why so much clearance above the cartridges and cans? Can we drop down a size in SYS3?
@SystainerStore2 жыл бұрын
I think this is a fair question. Recognize there is 100mm (~4 in) between the M 437 and M 337. So if in an M 437 there is a clearance of only 2 to 3 inches between tip of the cartridge, and the lid going shorter wouldn't work. Now, this may depend on your cartridge or aerosol can size. For instance, if you are using a sealant or epoxy that has disposable tips, therefore you wouldn't store the item with the tip, the M 337 may work just fine as you can another inch or two not storing storing the tube with a tip on it.

I love the tiny Systainer. Apparently, the UV curing printers like you used have come down in price somewhat. Less than $2500 for some of them. But what I was reading about inks and cleaning was that the ink clogs very easily. You need to empty them and clean the printheads over the weekend - a couple days of no printing will clog them. So, sadly, not practical for low volume users.
@SystainerStore2 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I have the same research. I'm exploring all sorts of other ways to customize, but man, I really like the idea of load a systainer in a machine and hit print.
@Psychlist19722 жыл бұрын
I love this design, especially the openness, and considering the price of plywood right now. The only recommendation I have is to use button head screws when screwing the systainer rails to the aluminum. It looks like you are using the normal countersink kind, which aren't really designed to bear against a flat surface, and so they want to split apart the systainer rail.
@SystainerStore2 жыл бұрын
Hi Pete - thank you for the recommendation. For installing the rails I used the same M5 screws with low profile heads that I used in the rest of the assembly. These could potentially be larger or with a washer to have a better surface to surface mating. Thus far I've not had trouble, but I do like ensuring things won't come loose so on the next rev I'll consider this a bit more.
@Psychlist19722 жыл бұрын
@@SystainerStore Thanks Tim. Those screws you are using are fine, actually. To me, they looked like the countersink head screws in the video, but I just clicked the link in the description and saw that they were not. Thanks again for the video!
