i have a 1965 ford Econoline with a 7.5 in rear i was told i can not change the gears on a 7.5 is this true./ i want to change gear because I'm at about 2500 rpm at 55 mph in 3rd gear its only a three speed . i dont like pushing it past that just seems like to much to be running engine at higher rpms for long periods of time

Glad I found this video. Thanks. I have a 2001 mgm with factory duel exhaust and the hpp they call it. Factory bbs wheels it’s a gs model but has the hpp. It’s all stock still. I was gonna cut the secondary cats and do a few other cheap mods and thanks to this I’m looking into the jlt.

I can't stand wasting kinetic energy. If you'd like your automatic tranmission to last longer, don't let it downshift to a stop. Put the car in neutral and coast to a stop. However, don't do it unless you're absolutely certain that you'll either come to a complete stop or that the car will be coasting to below 30MPH so that you can shift the car back into D without downshifting. It's workled for me in a Town Car for over 30,000 miles. Gas mileage is better, too.

The V8 SHO is the Yamaha? Like the non-Vulcan 3.0, I'd heard that they aren't very reliable.

I have had a chrome one from a mustang salvage yard that I bought back in around 03 04 and still have it thru 2 cars still running it. I can't remember if it came without a filter when I got it and that's why I bought a k&n for it. I wanted something different other than chrome this time around so went with the black for my 95 GT Saleen. Upon inspection it looks like a decent quality even though the filter is smaller than the K&n. From my research it doesn't seem like it'll be a negative running the smaller filter. I probably won't get it on till sometime first of the year '25 ish

Dear RaginTaurus, I hope this message finds you well. I have been keeping you in my prayers and have been deeply concerned about recent events. My heart sank when I learned about what happened. I would like to present an offer for your consideration, either now or at a future date. I own a 2005 Mercury Sable, which has been meticulously maintained and currently has 150,000 miles on it. I have been the owner since the car had just 20,000 miles, and it has been kept in pristine condition. However, I have always been captivated by the remarkable build you shared, particularly the cammed engine. If you ever contemplate selling it, please know that I am willing to compensate you generously for all the hard work, time, dedication, and emotional investment you have put into this transformative project. Should you have any feedback or be open to selling either the engine or the entire car, please let me know. I sincerely hope you still possess it. Upon your response, I would be happy to provide my contact information so we can discuss this further. Thank you for your time, and may God bless you. Warm regards, Edwin

How did u install them ? Did it just glue on there ?
@-_JayR_-3 ай бұрын
It's double sided tape.. you just peel the film and stick them on, apply some pressure and you're good.

@@-_JayR_- I just installed do they last a long time ?
@-_JayR_-3 ай бұрын
@northxidee_ In my experience, it really depends on how well you prep the surface before installation. If you cleaned the channel the trim goes into, and then applied the trim, you should be good for years, possibly the life of the car. If you didn't clean out the channel, there's a chance you put the trim on top of dirt and debris, in which case the trim will start to peel/fall off.

*Just today, my 2005 Ford Taurus gave me 2 codes, P0430 AND P0420. It had not shown those codes until they repaired the torque converter on my transmission about 4 days ago. Could it be a sign that my catalyst is no longer working? Or should I check the oxygen sensor connections?*
@Mikeissm5 ай бұрын
It's unlikely the o2 sensors are bad if those are the only codes. If there is an electrical circuit issue with the o2 sensor(s) it should throw a circuit related code. I would check with a scan tool where you can read live data and look at all o2 sensors at the same time on a graph. There should be 4 o2 sensors, 2 for each bank of the engine. I would drive it around to get the converters warmed up then look at the data. If the waveform for the downstream sensors (Bank 1 Sensor 2 and/or Bank 2 Sensor 2) look like they mirror at least most of the time the upstream sensors (Bank 1 Sensor 1 and/or Bank 2 Sensor 1) then the o2 Sensors are likely good but the converters are not working. A good converter should show the downstream sensors staying rich (o2 sensor voltage at or greater than 0.6 volts) most of the time. A little switching from rich to lean is fine but the idea is that most of the time it stays "rich" and is a flat line on the graph. You can also check "Mode 6" data and look for "Catalyst Monitor B1" and "B2" to see the individual emissions monitors to see the similarity the monitor is seeing which should be greater than 0.848:1 switch ratio between the 2 sensors if you have those codes. If that number goes above 0.848 meaning that at least 84.8% of the time the monitor is running both the upstream and downstream sensor look the same (at least on my 2005 Taurus with federal emissions) then the monitor will fail and set a P0420 for bank 1 or P0430 for bank 2.

#2 is due to being recirculating ball steering (I think pre 2003), whereas 2003+ is rack and pinion. Rack and pinion is just better in every way, although some older people like recirculating ball, because it’s “more comfortable.” But that’s just how they grew up so I don’t fault them. But yeah, recirculating ball can be dangerous in performance driving, and they damn sure shouldn’t be on a police car.
