As a mother of eight, 8, children and four of them girls I can not understand how a mother and father that found out about the abuse of their daughter did nothing to make sure that justice was done on behalf of their daughter! She was still a child!!! I DO NOT care that he was a pastor and he said he was sorry and that he repented!!! Justice had to be served!!! If a pastor had committed murder in the heat of the moment and then he repented he would STILL have to be tried for the murder!!! There are consequences to SIN!!! NOW in saying all of this it seems to me that Cindy Clemoshire was a victim at 12 years old that should have been protected by her parents and by the church!!! Now as an adult her motives are very suspicious!!! I will explain WHY!!! The abuse happened from 1982 - 1987. So from 12 years to 17 years of age she was abused. In 1988 she turned 18 years old and became an adult and then she should have gone to the police to get justice for herself because the adults in her life did Not do it! When she saw that Robert Morris was still a pastor and was not being held accountable that is when she should have gone to the police!!! Instead in 2005 when she was 35 years old she tried to take MONEY from him for what he did to her and ended up with nothing! He refused to give her any money! THERE IS NO AMOUNT OF MONEY THAT HE COULD HAVE GIVEN HER THAT WOULD HAVE TAKEN AWAY THE PAIN AND THE MEMORIES OF THE ABUSE HE INFLICTED ON HER, NONE!!! So why NOW after ALL THIS YEARS at the age of 54 years does she reveal what happen to her when she was 12 years of age, WHY NOW!?!?!?!

I hated my sexual abuser for years, even after becoming a Christian I struggled to forgive. My unforgiveness caused me to sin in many ways, and it caused a bitterness in my heart. Finally, when I turned 40. I went on a quest for healing. First I tried group therapy, but it hit a dead end. Then I tried counseling, but I quickly backed away from it. I realized that I could not trust any counselor. I asked Jesus to be my counselor, and so He did. I found that Journaling gave me a way of communicating with the LORD. The reason nothing worked until I turned to Jesus for help, is that He knew I needed desperately to forgive my abuser, and He led me to do it in such a way, that I felt love and compassion for my abuser. Hatred was gone and I prayed for his soul. Yes child sexual abuse is terrible, but it, like any other sin, it is forgivable. And I would warn someone against unforgiveness. It leaves you vengeful and in danger of judgment yourself.
