I learned this dance from Marina Bear. I don’t know if she embellished it, but I remember fluttering our hands in the center while we did the slow sways.
@kemilmeyer4 ай бұрын
Hi Sienna, I don't think I've done it with fluttering hands. I learned it some 25 years ago at an east coast dance camp. Some of the archive notes I have talk about flapping the arms at that point - evoking loon's wings.

Hi Kevin, thanks for sharing the video with banjo and honeytone amp, both sound really great together and banjo has great tone. May have to look into that honeytone to give my acoustic guitar a liitle volume, sometimes needed in outdoors playing especially for me. Keep on pickin', look forward to playing with you again!

Hi Kevin. Thank you so much for teaching us this beautiful and powerful choreography by Nanni Kloke. It's one of my favorites. I feel transported elsewhere when I dance it. A small detail for the music. Maybe it's by Shaun Erik. kzbin.info/www/bejne/rXbHfqNratudaM0 With love Nanda ❤

Did this too, with Kris Lee at the Cheltenham Circle Dance - but hang on a minute! We did it slightly differently to this version! When we do the side-close-side, we lifted our arms up and we also did a side-close-side with our arms too. And we also did a turn at the end of the side-close-side, and when the music stopped at intervals, we did a pause with our right arm pointing upwards. Nice to know that this circle dance was choreographed by June Watts.
