Koxs return to the btcc was a complete disaster because in donington race one kox gets punted off by Plato and then race two he got a drive through penalty because he jumped the start

Massive moment in the championship, if Reid had won he would have been champion at the end of the season. Of course he bottled it in the final race but such fine margins...

There were so many races across that era where Rydell had pole and then got a poor start, so many races where he instantly gave away the advantage he had. He was quick enough to win multiple titles in Super Touring, it was a shame he often didn't put it all together in the races.

The Rydell Mondeo and the 1998 Matt Neal Primera are both currently in New Zealand. I need to find them!

whilst I agree the series has gone down its not as bad as everyone makes out, the years that the Vauxhall coupe ruled - Thompson, muller, plato etc still great racing just not the variation of manufacturer's which is the biggest downfall .......... but I heartily agree the supertourers should have stayed not this ngtc lark !!

Yeah it was magic in 1997 and 1998 ok too in 1999. 2000 was ok for me as I was a fan of Ford Mondeo and all three of their drivers. The BTCC though today now is a shadow of it's former self, crap in other words lol
