I think a lot of people's eyes are bigger than their stomachs. The 450 is born from the race bike. If have never been on an MX track or lots of time on dirt I can see how people don't like it. It's got gobbs of power with very little throttle input. You really need to know how to ride an MX bike. The stalling issue is strange. The MX bikes idle pretty high and these tuned for the street are set very low. I'd imagine if the idle is turned up the problem would go away.

I’m putting knobbies on mine. Packed sand is doable. It’s perfect easy jeep trail or path. Right now I’m 5 days in on OBX vaca and it’s awesome for the trails and beach roads

Is the 750 capable of bench rest precision ammo? Sorry if my terminology is stupid.
@SquatchReloaded
@SquatchReloaded 10 күн бұрын
Depends on your definition of bench rest ammo. There is a lot of variables going on with multiple stations at once. Personally for ultra precision I lean more towards a single stage.

I’d like to add to your suggestions. If you get a new Dillon and after you get it set up if it doesn’t run very smooth, it kinda clucks or pops , stop and call Dillon support. Your press is out of time and Dillon will send you the correct gauge and simple instructions to fix it. I know because my press arrived out of time and nothing I did made it better. You don’t have to buy any of the aftermarket parts and accessories that claim to help your press run smoothly. The Dillon guarantee which is better than any warranty in my opinion simply is the best in the world. In over 32 years of running Dillon presses I’ve had to used their warranty and customer support twice. The first time was on my first Dillon 550B I broke a part while setting it up. Nothing was wrong with it from the factory I’m just a little heavy handed sometimes. My wife says I’m like a bulldozer and just don’t realize how strong I am.

There is no documentation that it is water proof that I can find. I have rode in the rain without issue however I would assume if SEnA doesn’t add it to there documentation then it probably isn’t

You have a KLR as well? I'm trying to pick my first bike to learn on and am having trouble deciding between the CRF300 Rally, the KLR650 and the RE Himalayan 450. I'm leaning towards the KLR but I heard it's kinda big and heavy. Do you think it's a bit too big for a first bike? I'm 6ft tall and plan on taking it on gravel roads a lot and will be probably be dropping it often.
@SquatchReloaded
@SquatchReloaded Ай бұрын
Nothing wrong with any of those bikes. Personally I think the rally would be a great first bike. It’s very lightweight maneuvers a lot easier in my opinion than the Klr but you can’t go wrong with either.

@@SquatchReloaded Thanks for the reply man, I'm really struggling with this since I can't test ride any of them. The concern I have with the CRF is power, I live in New Zealand and we have a lot of mountain passes here, can it keep up with highway traffic on hills?
@SquatchReloaded
@SquatchReloaded Ай бұрын
@KiwiPokerPlayer gotcha. As far as highway the KLR is a bit better in that regard. The CRF is quite capable of holding speeds at short intervals
@KiwiPokerPlayer
@KiwiPokerPlayer Ай бұрын
@@SquatchReloaded Your second sentence concerns me about the CRF, we have some steep hills that go on for a while. I have the option to buy a 2022 KLR Adventure with 1.5k miles and has already had all the basic upgrades done, proper two point metal hand/lever guards, upgraded exhaust, skid plate, crash bars and new expandable top box along with the factory panniers. They told me it's "as new, never been dropped" and the photos support that. They are asking 2/3rds of the price of a new stock '24 model with those upgrades already done. Pull the trigger?

Right from factory, this is the BEST dirt road/gravel bike Iv ever ridden. Plush, planted, doesnt need trac control and the ABS actually works great. More aggressive tires would handle worse on gravel. Your front end is wandering cuz u havent adjusted your preload stiffer for your weight and u are running street psi off pavement. Drop the psi a bit and turn the preload nut to at least 3 to put some weight back on the front tire.

And i too like the heat shields that come on these! Man oh man...i hope empire changed the design for the 2024 concernng the speed sensor
@SquatchReloaded
@SquatchReloaded Ай бұрын
You will probably need to trim the fender on the left side I had to on mine. I ended up getting rid of the empire and went with a dual Barker system. No issues with the speed sensor because there was clearance and no trimming in the fender. Empire did offer to the pipes so they would clear the speed sensor. I don’t know if they have made that change moving forward.

@SquatchReloaded yeah I saw the video of you putting it on which is why I made this comment! Yikes....I'm gone have to message them and see if they made a change and even talk to mechanic imma have put it all on and see if they are still running into this issue because it's not worth doing all that in my opinion especially when the barkers fits good and even has the heat shield. Great video Squatch, i’m a fan of OCD reloading. I’ve been reloading for several years using a RCBS Rock Crusher and recently bought the Summit. Both have excellent runout but having to swap out dies is still a pain. I’ve been researching the Redding T-7 and I can’t find info on the bullet runout for this press. What has been your experience with it? I’ve used your method of processing brass and it is a winner. I’m one of those OCD guys that actually enjoys processing brass and your method takes out the guesswork of where you are in the process. Thank you
