Death stranding just came out on Xbox! Our community is still building these paths but I've been noticing some in the East!

I played every chapter of REV2 as they were launching in split screen and I RE6 was the first RE game I actually finished instead of watching my siblings play it, I'm happy that a lot of people gathered in the comments that share the same joy for them. One thing I noticed with REV2 right away was how similar the controls were to The Last of Us which was really popular at the time and had a remaster for ps4 half a year prior, and funny enough TLOU2 took the dodge from REV2 and sliding/going prone from re6 (a bit of a stretch on the slide/prone part)! For me RE games after REV2 feel like they stuffed features from their previous games and their competition (TLOU and P.T comes to mind) into a nice safe package. I don't think that Evelyn is similar to Natalia, Evelyn is like Alma from the F.E.A.R. franchise both visually and character wise. Richard Pearsey the writer of RE7 was a writer for an expansion pack of F.E.A.R. so he for sure took inspiration from Alma for Evelyn. I think is video is a bit stretchy and exaggerated, maybe apart from mercenaries/raid mode as I don't really play them enough to know. I still think that new RE8 and RE4R are closer to RE4 than REV2. For fun here are some features that they added to RE8 and RE4R that came from recent entries, some of them never registered in my mind before I decided to write this comment. I'm not an RE scholar so I might get some things wrong feel free to correct me or mention more features. (not mentioning REV2 as you covered its features pretty well) -Foods in RE8 are an evolution of the steroids and stabilizers from RE7 -Knife durability from RE2R added to RE4R -Super detailed gore and skin/clothes deformation from RE2R is present in RE4R although kind of different -Blocking from RE7 is back in RE8 and RE4R -Parries from RE8 are expanded further in RE4R -RE8's missable bosses like the Varcolac are present in RE4R like the Wild Dog and Merciless Knight -RE8's weapon charms return in RE:VERSE and kind of in RE4R as the attache case charms For me saying that RE4R feels the same as REV2 because it shares it's some DNA in it is stretch, you could say that RE4R feels the same as any other RE game after 3 because they share a lot of their DNA. If we stretch it far enough we could say that Dead Space, The Last of Us and Silent Hill 2 remake are the same as original RE4 and RE6 because they share a lot of DNA and were inspired by them.

Reading the comments now I kinda wish I hadn’t watched this video until it was recommended to me in February. Also, your Revelations 2 video was fucking great, dude.

I don’t get it, you hype up Rev 2 so much yet suggest RE4 remake was a waste because it borrows a lot of the design elements to Rev2, and one of the solutions is to make it less like it and more like the original? Dude it’s called a third person camera perspective

Liam Neeson playing Jesus Christ like: “I’ve always had an interest in Judaeochristian mythology. I’m Jesus Christ… the son of God… and he…. Uh… he was sent out by his Father…. To complete 12 labors…. He had to slay the Damascene Lion for example….”

There's something special about the quiet, at times slightly frustrating moments, where you alone must navigate the world around you. It feels kinda primal, having only the (probably pretty impressive) tools you have in hand to get where you need to go. I never thought about how death stranding illustrates those moments, and their subsequent destruction by virtue of you not being alone in the world. There's a conflict there, convenience eroding things that might be special for the sake of efficiency, that is becoming increasingly apparent in every facet of our lives. Most clearly in the case of the internet and how we communicate with each other Anyways cool video, didn't know about those Kojima patents, I'll have to dick ride him a little softer now
