In 2013 I bought a DVD of the film. I was astounded to find I could quote along with much of the dialogue, despite the fact that I had not seen the film for fifty years. I bought the DVD because I had always said I rated it as one of the greatest films I have seen, yet when I saw it I was not even a teenager.

Thanks to everybody involved in the making of Trinity for having the instinct of figuring out how good the script was and the courage to go with their gut feelings and in so doing gifting us with one of the most iconic and fun spaghetti westerns ever made. For people like me, born in Italy in the Seventies and Eighties, the movies featuring Bud Spencer and Terence Hill were a fundamental part of our childhood and we fondly remember the hours spent with our parents watching these light-hearted films while dining together. Thanks guys for all the happy memories!

Truly exceptional horror films - The Fog, Halloween, The Shining, 'Salem's Lot, The Exorcist, Sinister, The Nun, The Woman in Black and 1408 spring to mind - have a certain intangible element that you can't write, or photograph or generate on a computer. I can only describe it as 'atmosphere' - and it's what makes the difference between a good horror film and a truly exceptional one. Sadly, most modern 'horror' films rely too much on shock and gore and are, as such, entirely forgettable in my opinion.

Huge, huge fan of this super fun, charming, and manic movie with and incredible cast! BUT there was one significant mistake IMO : It has to do with Kathryn Harold and while I understand maybe kinda what the point was, it didn't work at all.

The best thing about John Landis and his movies is the enthusiasm. I don't love all his movies, but his interviews always make me happy, just to hear someone who truly relishes the opportunity to tell a story. I wish I had that kind of joy and confidence.
