Marcus may have been the first Vampire but Victor had the Army. And was a Warlord. Practically without Victor there’s no Death Dealers. Therefore making Marcus kind of like an insurance policy. So yeah there you go the Army was loyal to Victor. Not Marcus. And Victor had the military experience.

Hypothetically, a gas giant could detonate/pop like this. Hell, even a rocky planet could do so depending on the materials, mass of objects, and speed of the collision and subsequent chemical reaction. Would life exist on such a planet. No, probably not, but god does shit every once in a while, and intelligent life has a tendency to smell it.

There did. But the destroyers couldn't do anything but just stand by for larger resistance fleets. If it goes close to support, it might only damage the planet surface more. The base itself already has tie fighters, so it wasn't required to send any. The X wing were just too fast to go into the atmosphere
