No my baby cat does worst its twitching hard like it twitch his mouth and feet and body and it jumps so fast out of his sleep and then he falls back to sleep so let me know if I should take him to the veterinarian

this is just a way of dreaming when cats are in deep sleep. Nothing to worry about !

What is wrong with the people here? Cats and dogs are vivid dreamers! Didn't any of you grow up with pets? My dad called it "chasing rabbits" if it was the dog. Cats were "chasing mice." Today, I guess people had no parents and no pets in their youth!

Sometimes, something similar happens to me when im sleeping lol, also, my baby cats does this and if you want to wake them up just try to shake them or grab her, its mostly easy to wake up, grown cats, baby kitties tend to twitch more than the grown up ones I hope this helped, forgive my engish ^^; dorrry

My cat onyx does this but a little more aggressively and he's only 7 months old. Sometimes while sleeping close to me, he'll scratch or kick me while twitching and I have to put him away from me. He'll eventually come sleep right next to me again risking another unintentional swat of his claws. Ahhhh yes the quirks of having a cat lol.

Mine twitches almost violently, I hope she’s just dreaming. I have this old school heater in my floor and she was laying by it and she twitched and her head hit the heater so it sounded serious as hell from across the room. But she woke up and looked at me like an idiot when she saw me freaking out lol

My dog does this exact same thing. She also makes these little hiccupy whimpering sounds sometimes. It's completely normal for animals to do this. With dogs though it's really funny to watch them wag their tails at 90 miles an hour in their sleep.
