The title is wrong. It’s not appropriate to call Muslim scholars racist even if some of them are alleged to be racist

What are you talking about bruv? Your stupidity is beyond belief, don’t bring your racist crap into Islam it doesn’t exist! Islam is the only religion that doesn’t have a hierarchy of race, the white Muslim is no higher than the black Muslim, the black Muslim is no higher than the brown Muslim, the whole point that people going to Hajj all wearing white just emphasises the fact there is no hierarchy of race! What you have in Islam, as well as all religions are people who don’t follow the religion correctly but making out that race and racism is prevalent in Islam is just ridiculous! Stop your stupidity get off your soapbox of Clickbait!

What is he talking about. Racism or Quran and Sunnah? As a black man, we should stop playing victims. Going around digging what some racist scholars said about black people ( a tiny minority) . What about the scholars who didn't say anything or said good things about black people. Let's concentrate on what Islam teaches, not what individual people say or do. I want to listen to the details of a scholars work based on Quran and sunnah. Not a book talking about racism. Every scholar now wants to create a separate platform for themselves. Clout chasing. Causing more divisions than unity. It doesn't matter what race you are, if your work is not based on Quran and Sunnah, it will surely be rejected.

Racism goes against the teachings of the Qur’an and Sunnah. Shaytān was the the first racist. So ye, this talk is very much about the teachings of Qur’an and Sunnah. I dare you tell me otherwise!

I think you didn't ponder on the questions I raised and jumped straight into nationalism defensive mode. Let me repeat my questions. Who are these scholars he mentioned? How many people know them? Are they prominent scholars in Islam? Do their opinions about race backed by Quran and Sunnah? Are they an authority on Islam? What did the prophet said about racism?
@A.Quddus493
@A.Quddus493 3 ай бұрын
@@baysnyande3579 You raised non of those questions in your original comment. Yes, some of the scholars are prominent. He mentions the name of one or two just as an example. I’m no black nationalist, and I have high regard for the ulema. But your comment of “a tiny majority” is empty and baseless. Try reading the book he wrote citing these works and scholars in detail before criticizing his work.

Are those scholars hujjah on us? Their opinions about race is irrelevant. Is their racism part of Islam or individual bias? If it is not, then case close. I guess, it makes some people good or maybe pandering to a certain demographic

I’m black myself don’t get me wrong A tafseer of that depth isn’t meant for the common folks. Secondly , instead of that a person should rather learn Arabic than go through a 17volume tafseer. Muslims should learn Arabic and not just rely on translations

Some of the scholars are also spoken out of context for example AlJahiz was a black man and an Arab but he had his opinion about another black tribe. By the way, the Arabic reads differently to what you have quoted. There is no where in the text that mention the word negro for example. Ibn Al Qayyim Al Jawziyyah in his book Al Manaar Al Maneef fee Al Saheeh Wal Daeef And from it are the narrations disparaging the people of Habasha and Sudaan, all of it is lies'' Like the narration, ''Al Zanj whenever he is full he fornicates and whenever he is hungry he steals’' alajamwalarab.com/index.php/racist-narrations-debunked/ White people were rare in that area in that time In Seera A'laam Al Nubalaa Imaam Al Dhahabi , said “Red, in the dialect of the Arabs means a pale white complexion and it was a colour that was rare amongst them.'' Read more : alajamwalarab.com/index.php/ahmar/ Here is an example of what the arabs used to say . Not the Prophet Mohammed! Yaa son of a red woman Ibn Atheer narrates in his book Al Niyaahyah Fee Ghareeb Al Hadeeth Wal Athar Chapter 1 Page 440 ''And in the hadeeth Ali .. A man from the Mawaali opposed him so Ali said , '' Shut up you son of a red Ijaan '' ,meaning son of a slave woman. The Al Ijaan is the area between the anus and the scrotum or vulva'' and this is the way the Arabs talk when being derogatory and insulting’' In Seera A'laam Al Nubalaa, Imaam Al Dhahabi , said, ''If the Arabs said someone is white, they mean that he is a wheatish colour with a blackness that can be seen’'. Al Thaa'lab is quoted in Lisan Al Arab, he said, '' The Arabs do not say a man is white to mean that he is white in colour. It is only said to mean that the person is pure and free from any defects.'' Read more: alajamwalarab.com/index.php/abyadh/

A lot of the books or ‘’scholars’’ mentioned are not actually considered to be classical Arabic scholars and in fact the classical Arabic scholars because defend blackness as the Arabs themselves were black. The Arabs fought each other and would discriminate amongst themselves according to tribes and NOT COLOUR and since the Arabs were jet black and other hues of brown this meant that they shared the same skin tones as the Abyssinians . And Ibn Yaeesh mention in his book Sharh Al Mufassal page 48 The meaning of Al Aswad is because the majority of ( the Arabs ) are brown and jet black in colour. Read more here: alajamwalarab.com/index.php/i-was-sent-to-th…ed-and-the-black/ He could have easily have said ‘’a black man from the Ansar tribe’’ but he went further and mentioned a non Arab for extra emphasis. If you had read other narrations in the same chapter you would have come across the following. Saheeh Muslim book of Governance narration 1733 I heard the Messenger of Allah may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him say: Whomsoever from you is appointed by us to a position of authority and he conceals from us an amount as small as needle or even smaller than that, it would be considered to be embezzlement and will produce it on the Day of Judgment. The narrator says: A (jet) black skinned man from the Ansar stood up it is as if i can see him right now and said: Messenger of Allah, take back from me your assignment. He said: What has happened to you? The man said: I have heard you say so and so. He said: I say that now: Whosoever from you is appointed by us to a position of authority, he should bring everything, big or small, and whatever he is given therefrom he should take, and he should restrain himself from taking that which is forbidden. The Ansar were Arabs too and guess what this black man from the Arabs feared the punishment of the hellfire that much that he did not want to resume his LEADERSHIP ROLE. Now let's look at the about the BLACK SKINNED ARAB LEADER OF THE ANSAR TRIBE The LEADER of the Ansar tribe was an Arab a jet black skinned and this is just one of many examples. As you know people of colour come in all shades but this leader was darker than you. Saheeh Muslim book of Governance narration 1733 and Musnad Ahmed authenticated by Shiekh Arnoot I heard the Messenger of Allah may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him say: Whomsoever from you is appointed by us to a position of authority and he conceals from us an amount as small as needle or even smaller than that, it would be considered to be embezzlement and will produce it on the Day of Judgment. The narrator says: A (jet) black skinned man Mujaahid said it was Sa’d Ibn Ubaadah from the Ansar stood up it is as if i can see him right now and said: Messenger of Allah, take back from me your assignment. He said: What has happened to you? The man said: I have heard you say so and so. He said: I say that now: Whosoever from you is appointed by us to a position of authority, he should bring everything, big or small, and whatever he is given therefrom he should take, and he should restrain himself from taking that which is forbidden. Sa'd Ibn Ubaadah may Allah be pleased with him was not only the leader of the Ansar and specifically speaking the Khazraj tribe but he was also SAYYID = MASTER . He was known as SAYYID AL KABEER ALSHAREEF. A MIGHTY NOBLE MASTER. Read the following about Moses may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him, who was mentioned in the Quran. “Put your hand into the pocket of your garment, and it will come out white without disease تخرج بيضاء من غير سوء The miracle here was that he was black and his hand turned white.(Quran 28:32) To further back this claim up about his complexion is in various narrations but here is one for you : In Musnad Ahmed Ibn Habal , Chapter 50 page 488 The Messenger of Allah may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him said, And the description of Moses may peace be upon him : '' And I saw Moses intensely black skinned'' The words used here are Asham Adam which in another example which shows us how Adam and intense blackness are related.
