Stupidest most moronic video I have ever wasted my time on....getting the old panel off is the key and what everyone needs to know....buying a replacement and sliding that on is simple. Do not waste your time with this idiot.

So what happens if the sensor completely fails? I have this problem with my 03, could it internally damage the engine?
@DocsBoost
@DocsBoost 3 күн бұрын
I cannot imagine complete failure damaging the engine. If it fails, the worst-case scenario is that the car won't start.

which I replaced before but it happened again so what is the source of such a problem sir?
@DocsBoost

The only time I have ever seen re-occurring issues with the same blower circuit is If the person did not replace everything as I did including new connectors on the problem wires and the blocks. Those two things are very important for secure tight electrical connections where it matters most. If you use the old connector on the wire, the overheated spring steel can no longer "spring" and stay tight. If you use the old block, the connector cannot stay in place and it moves around, which causes failure again. If everything was renewed, then I cannot say for certain what is causing the problem without having the car to troubleshoot the circuit. I hope that helped.

Im struggling trying to remove the lower felt type layer. Its practically welded to the plastic. Wondering if i should use a heat gun or steamer to try to soften the glue up underneath. Concerned with warping the plastic though.
@DocsBoost
@DocsBoost 12 күн бұрын
I'm not sure why you are having such a hard time with that inner layer. I know it takes some effort but usually comes out once you get it started. You could try heat, but not on "high" and I would stay away from steam. Steam may create more troubles of its own.

I think that’s a myth about dealers converting Superbirds back to a regular Roadrunner. The time and 💴 💴💴💴 would be astronomical. Remove the front end, removing the rear 1/4’s, remove the vinyl top, remove the rear glass, remove the modified welded panels for the special aerodynamic rear glass. Then put it all back together and paint.

No. No. No. I was raised in the 70s and you barely saw these on the street, let alone anyone talking about them. The cutlass, the Roadrunner, 78-79 Firebird. And the 70s corvettes were popular. Stop dreaming dude.
@DocsBoost

With only 10,000 split windows made, by the time you became muscle car aware, half were dead and the other half was stowed away. I drove a 68 GTX through the entire 70s and after owning it for 15 years I sold it and a month later the new owner wrapped it around a pole. Coveted cares have a tendency to be demolished, or get put away for safe keeping. That's how I've seen things go. I never got a chance to drive one of these, but I did drive a 63 convertible when I was 17.

The split window is what makes it so vicious for me. But I believe it's 327 small journal since the 327 large journal wasn't until '68. And the 427 didn't show up until '66 for the Vette, the Impala got it in '63.
