This is a great song, and you know what brought me to it? So You Think You Can Dance season 2. In the finale for that season, Benji danced to this song for his final solo before the winner was announced.

That might be my most embarrassing story, that i was obsessed with So You Think You Can Dance season 2!! i've only ever seen season 2 lol but i really remember Benj being the swing king and then killing whatever new style he had to learn. what i dont remember is this song playing. this song is in my memory from one of those highschool crushes. she was an amazing girl and i wish we were still friends but thats my fault its weird commenting on youtube but you honestly had me tripping out at the Benji thing

I know most people say its about an ex girlfriend.. but the first time i listened to it I thought about a mother that came back for her little boy.. and then left him again and him thinking why his mother doesn't love him "and what did i do that you cant seem to want me?".. made me so sad

Sorry whoever said Andrew De Torres is the singer of this band is horribly wrong... In actual fact the rocket summer is not a band, it is the solo project of a revolutionary man called Bryce Avary From Fort Worth, Dallas. I have seen him twice now and met him both times. He will sometime have a back up band while playing live. But His name is not Andrew De Torres.. Just to clear up the confusion :)

The bands name, Jack's Mannequin, Came from Andew's friend's brother (also his former roommate) being diagnosed with Leukemia, He eventually passed away from it but thats beside the point. When Andrew was diagnosed with the same illness, it made him start thinking, and he started to write a letter to Jack which eventually became this song. This is such a beuatiful, meaningful, and personal song. I love every second of it. <3
