I remember well the story Mike Douglas used to tell on his show about a time Vic Damone was a guest on his show. The staff put together a background for him, his initials in big letters. No one noticed until soon before air time that "VD" was in big letters ready to go behind Damone. It was changed before his appearance. I guess today it would be STI.

This was the golden age of male singers - Nate, Cosby, Sinatra, Darin, Matin, Davis Jr., Jack Jones, Mathis, Dimone, Bennett, Anka, Greco, Ecksteine, Tom Jones, Humperdinck, Ray Charles and so on and so on….

You just do not find talent like this very much today. Nothing like a old soft shoe! No straw hats were harmed in this performance.

If this had been recorded in stereo; this version would FAR SURPASS "The Doors" or even Jose Feliciano!

This song was performed by Nancy Sinatra and Bobby Darin on "The Bobby Darin Show" that originally aired on 2/9/73 on NBC-TV! This was one of NBC-TV's BEST PROGRAMMING NIGHTS IN HISTORY!

Wouldn't really call this a Motown version. This is very much a boogaloo/soul type of arrangement. And he also straight up says in the beginning "can you boogaloo?". It's very groovy and danceable. A very contemporary arrangement for the time.

Vic Damone is performing, Andy is enjoying himself and Bobby is comfortable, and having a hell of a good time. Always at ease with an audience. Confident without ego, Bobby was always such a pleasure to see and to hear. A treasure taken from us too soon. I think heaven was jealous!
