I haven’t heard from you in a while. Hope you doing ok. I retired from USPS and really like your advice I took part B and blue cross basic at the same time. I have been in basic BCBS for many years. This help me a lot. No copay. No deductibles to worry about. BUT I THINK basic BCBS premiums should be lower this. When I retired, since they pay very little after Medicare knock down the a lot. This leave Medicare paying most and reducing the cost that BCBS pays. But my premiums are the same as working full time 🎉😂. Can you explain this. But I do get the refund check of $800 so maybe this is why 🎉

Would a medicare supplement Part G (Medigap) be similar or less expensive than or to GEHA as secondary provider? Especially with the new PSHB roll out

It’s my understanding that credible insurance is a real benefit….unless you apply for medicare outside of the cut off window after your retirement date thereafter you’ll still receive the penalty although you did have credible insurance the window was missed we are given a certain amount of time to apply after our retirement date. I don’t recall what the rep said the time frame was.

Working for the USPS for 30 years, about to retire at the end of this year 🙏🏼 just got enrolled in Medicare A+B and have VA health insurance and prescription also!! I’m still confused and I don’t really know if I should continue with my BC/BS also? Any advice you can give and take me out of my confusion please!!❤ will be appreciated!

this has been a nigyhtmare. bcbs says I have b. medicare says I don't. I guess I'll find out soon enough when te bills come in.Jst got transferred out of hospital and now expecting 4-6 wks in skilled nursing rehab.In previous yrs if you wanted to keep the the insurance you had, you did nothing and it continued, As I understand it, this open season you have to sign up for it again to keep it or they will throw you on a "similar plan" their choice? I have bcbs but wil have to sign up for it at open season to keep it?

I hear you, however, what if Medicare Advantage plans will be the only plans available in your area, then what? There are only 32 plans available nationwide.

I have been retired since Dec. 2019 and will be forced into Medicare when I turn 65 in Feb 2025. I say forced because I never planned to enroll in Medicare for this single reason, a lot of doctors don't take Medicare. A lot of my current doctors don't take Medicare. I have not yet heard you address that many of us will have to find new doctors, with long wait times for new patients. I don't mean to sound critical because I really appreciate the information you have provided, especially since I know nothing about this insurance that I never planned to get when I was planning for my retirement. I prefer to listen first to someone like you that is not trying to sale me anything and there are few people like yourself, so thank you for that. During my 33 yrs with USPS I have been part of teams that rolled out new programs. I was there when we went from trying to roll out near perfect programs to it's cheaper and faster to roll out whatever and fix things along the way; this is exactly what we were told for the initial eRMS rollout. This train of thought was bothersome then but terrifying now that we are talking about my health. And why are the new plans still being kept from us? What possible reason is there for all this secrecy? It's our health insurance for christ sakes. I am filled with anxiety at the thought of EVERYONE in the PO having to change health insurance simultaneously. If you have ever tried to speak to someone at OPM during open season you would understand how impossible it is. I am so disappointed that a democratic congress didn't even think to grandfather-in those of us that are already retired. Obviously none of this is on you, just letting off some steam here 😵‍💫. You have at least given me some things to look into further and provided me with some hope that this won't be as horrible as I still imagine it will be. Thank You Thank You

I just watched the Men's 4 x 100 relay at the Paris Olympics on August 9, 2024. Once again, the Men's relay team failed to finish a 4 X 100 Relay. Everybody wants to blame Kenny this time. In my opinion (and what i prove on this video) It's not his fault. It's the Coaches fault for having him stand in a starter's stance LQQKING upside down and backwards to see when the leadoff runner passed his mark. In today's failure, it is possible that Kenny saw the lane next to him and took off based on that runner (basically same colors as the USA). Upside down and backwards - who knows? Track Coaches need to STOP having relay runners get in a starter's stance. The Women won their 4 X 100 Relay Final but 2 of their passes weren't good - because of the starter stance. I want to add, the camera work in these relays is NOT GOOD! It does not show the big picture properly. They want to get close up but we can't see the lines and we can't see the entire exchange.. I know I only have 300 views on this video but...ONE DAY folks will listen because I am telling the truth. Stop having the baton exchanges from the starter's position. It gives runners zero advantage and OBVIOUSLY causes confusion!!

My husband the retiree goes to the va for everything, would you recommend he sign up for part b? He can sign up for the free aarp advantage patriot plan and get $110 back each mnth. We are planning on switching our bcbs standard to basic, We are paying for self plus one even though he doesnt use it
