This is a must to know if you want to be a decent Stratego player

Such an enjoyable game. He made such a bold and shocking move with his cap. to nab spy. And once he discovered your marsh. w/lieut. I had serious doubts about your chances. But you played calmly, patiently and defended masterfully. Of course, once you nabbed his col., it looked like it was really game over for you with his immortal marsh. more or less right on top of your flag. But giving him the opportunity to recapture your col. was a stroke of brilliance, especially considering that you were up in minor pieces anyway and would have a chance at lotto with same col. And just when it seemed like victory was a lock, you start having repeated connectivity issues. Pardon the cruelty here, but your panic during that leg of the game may have been the very most entertaining part. The notion of overcoming such a lukewarm start and thoroughly outplaying your opponent only to draw/lose due to a capricious internet connection almost visibly made you quiver (which, btw, is 100-percent understandable). Great game, great video, thank you & keep 'em coming.

@napoleon2eme5494 ай бұрын
Hello and thank you for your comment! I had a 50-50 chance between bomb and flag and went on the bomb. After that game was lost as he had his marshal trapping my miner and his miner next to my bomb so that if I move marshal, he takes it. I could have tried to trade miners, but then he has position advantage and still 2 pieces vs 1

@napoleon2eme5497 ай бұрын
You need to capture your opponent's flag which is one among 8 pieces. The other pieces follow the rank of the army but are unknown, the upper rank take the lower ranks, but the lowest rank can take the highest one. There is also one piece not moving which is a bomb, any piece going on it will die. As you say, it's a lot about bluffing!

This is indeed a 8 pieces format called barrage, but the main category, which you can find some games in my other videos is a 40 pieces games. Indeed miners are able to diffuse bombs. You can play on some websites, for example on strategus.appspot, where the latest videos were played.
