Tired of people saying that Kenpo doesn't work. Im 5'2", 80 years old. I've had to use Kenpo several times in my life and yes it does work, very well. I don't know why people keep saying it's useless. If you're attacked and you fail, it's not the Kenpo it's you that failed. I have black belts in Ed Parker Kenpo ad Tracy Kenpo and I still practice it. Also I've taught it for 50 years and students that had to use it explained to me how effective it was.

The most realistic, common sense analysis. But you are being very nice. I call some of these drills and systems completely delusional.

Teach to assassine? Hey, they were few and even fewer with all the US army, the Mexican army, legions of skalp hunters and trigger happy Wild west guys after them, relentlessly killing even women and babies. They always were relatively few and could not afford to be shot up like always shown in the western movies - they needed every man to fight, protect and bring food home. So, they tried to survive and get the bad guys before they got them. Reward? A horrible PR stating the Apaches were the bad guys. Crap. They never had enough man power to do all the massacres they allegedly did.

Make believe bullshit artist show me what you teach works under pressure in a real fight, ring, cage, anything . Prove that what you teach really works without calling me ignorant and challenging me to come to your place. Show me real proof of you or your students in a fight in the ring or cage winning and I will believe. You can't and won't because you have no proof.

Mas Oyama and Kimura trained together for years Oyama was a fourth Dan Kodokan who taught Masahiko Kimura Karate and trained with Kimura ...the 8 th Dan Kodokan and Kosen Judo master. He also was trained in Kempo when he was young in South Korea. . Not just a Shotokan and Goju ryu master. Oyama was very strong physically and used weight training constantly to build his power

The grip you show in the beginning. The advantage of the grip is, the knife is already in your hand but somewhat hidden. That's it... as far as I know. But then, I'm just your average American knuckle head.
@inside_fighting
@inside_fighting 20 сағат бұрын
@@brianvannorman1465 well you aren’t a knucklehead because that’s the exact primary reason for that grip and a lot of strength in close quarters… for dueling it’s terrible… but most people don’t duel..

If a technique in your martial art exists in another martial art, then that technique is legit. If you are the only one with that technique, either it is very good and innovative, or it just sucks.

Esoteric in Silat. could also mean kosmik silat, harmony in kosmik, jurus (style fighting). Silat gaib (esoterik). Usually practice by the old skool elder champion. Bit dark on this area. Them even have supernaturel sentinel that do sentry works, or can be summon.par exam,if one master harimau silat, them have these kind of supernaturel tiger sentinel or also be known as 'Khadam' (arabik) or 'perewangan' (javanese). Or some human figure in black rope,with long hair.and laugh like 90 year old man.the last thing i mentioned were the most favorite supernaturel sentinel use by the local or village champion.this unseen can dodge bullet or make its human master knife proof. I see some fight using machete or sickle, and nothing happen to the fighter. And some thug challenging police,the police shoot the thug with 308. And that thug still stand

Man I hate your clickbait. Anyways revenge can be a problem regardless , even if you seemingly de-escalated he might have gave you a hug because he was afraid and humiliated. Only way to make sure revenge doesn't happen is to take out their ability to take revenge. Also man you really need to work on your killing intent , you have all these tattoos but otherwise you seem kind of a dough boy , as in you don't give the vibe of someone dangerous. Emitting Dangerous aura type of energy can ironically save you from having to fight someone , because they'll realize on an instinctual level that its not worth it. ( you often see it in the wild, for example when a Bear backs down from fighting a mountain lion which is smaller because the lion gives off a fierce vibe and they think its not worth)

I have trained in silat but I prefer a combination of Shaolin, Wing Chun, and Kali. Silat is nothing more than other martial arts. Silat practitioners rely on outside power, without it, it is just another form of martial arts. Nothing to brag about.

Taekwondo seems to be having a revival as folk finally cotton on to the difference between ITF and WTF (or WT as it's now known). Of course taekwondo is incomplete (it offers very little in the way of grappling or leg kicks). And of course it's generally practised as a polite church-hall (or mall) martial art (inclusive and non-threatening), rather than a bruising combat sport or rugged street self-defence system. But you'll find some interesting videos on KZbin, yes, of taekwondokas caught out by hard-hitting combat sports practitioners, but also a few who can live with full-contact making muay thai look clumsy and limited. Another video worth seeing is Sensei Seth's "What martial art hits hardest" - won by TKD!

Being English I have heard of this before, my recollection was that this was one of those competitions that was fought between small villages many years ago. Not so much for random fighting but more for actual competition in a "friendly" way rather than villages doing all out battle between themselves.

The Bujinkan to me looks more like historial re-enactment then effective modern self defense. Some of it might be useful, but lunge punch based martial arts alone aren't very effective for modern self defense. Karate Do ShotoKai had similar problems. The two would apply well against each other. During the Sengoku Jidai it was probably very effect.

It's becos there external wc & internal wc. 98% of wing chun that is tought threw out the world. Is only external wc. The Chinese just made that up .to purely make money. It takes 5 years just to learn the first form. But the wc of today finnsh the whole thing in 3 odd years. When it takes 20 years to learn real internal wc. This is where the problem is.

I've had about 30 street fights in my life....as i got older, i learned technique.... i then realized i didnt have to go all-out and to destroy my opponent....like you, i like to defuse the situation and to give my opponent a way out of the conflict. None of my fights have been started by me. I throw precise jabs and kicks to areas where i cause immediate pain at the onset of the fight. This has usually sent a message to my opponent that he's fighting a trainned fighter. If he chooses to escalate, then i let all guns out. I've never lost a fight, and I've sent plenty of guys home with broken noses or sore eyes or balls....but I've always ended the fight with respect....letting the opponent know it's not worth to continue. For the record, the above scenario does not apply if im getting attacked or robbed....at that point...eye gauges are coming out first and deep!
