A couple of thoughts for you. Having established that the process works - which it should on a relatively straightforward design - what pieces might it be worth creating? Ideally items which are not readily available I would suggest. One which used to exist but has been discontinued is track with a bigger radius than the standard curve designed so that it runs parallel to the standard curve to create double track. The other that I think would be really useful, and small, is a piece that curves gradually upwards from flat to maybe 10 degrees. And the complementary piece levelling out at the top of your slope. The standard N ramp from Brio is regularly complained about. The transition from flat to climbing is too sharp and, especially at the top, makes the trains jerk and sometimes stall. And the gradient is too steep. There is no need to print the whole ramp; your new pieces would connect to regular straight track . Another thought is - could you produce thinner track ( using much less filament or resin) with two rails rather than a solid centre piece? You would need of course connection pieces to transition from regular track to your new thinner track.

Really good questions and points - I was thinking to make "tight radius" turn pieces next, i.e., something to help align larger tracks together to complete a circle, etc. This would just help make layouts a little easier for tracks that eventually re-connect to themselves. Also of interest would be "end stop" pieces or scenery pieces (items that would easily fit within my 5"x5"x5" print volume). I like the idea of parallel tracks too, that would be quite nice to have so trains can ride side-by-side. Good idea about the incline piece - that would definitely be doable. I agree it would be a nice way to use regular track pieces to gain height, just need to have some support blocks to keep the elevated track stable. Regarding the modified thinner track - yes, I think that would be doable. I imagine it would look almost like a real train track, or ladder, when laid down, with grooves for the wheels and cross-beams every so often to help keep the shape and rigidity. It would definitely reduce the amount of filament used. On that note, I printed the one in the video with a 20% fill density, but could likely go even less, possibly 10-15% to reduce filament usage and time, while likely still having a solid enough piece (it's not really subjected to much force or loading at all other than the little train's weight compressing the track).
