So curious of the mental process when you were building this piece. I'm guitar passionate but never understood what you need to learn /know to conceive these type of work

There are many ways in which an artist could conceive of a piece such as this. Typically, I work with students to explore these topics over the course of weeks, months, and, in some cases, years. Feel free to email me or DM me for information about lessons! Here’s my website: www.MarcLeGrandMusic.com That being said, for this piece, I started with the first two chord shapes that my hand drifted towards (C#-9, and G#7/D#) then chose the next couple of notes and/or chords based on voice leading (following my inner ear) that satisfied my idea of tension and release (which didn’t always align with western music principles). Cheers 😊
