Feminism has never been about equality. It is a movement to get as much for women as it can. Full stop.

But morality is still the cause of why this woman cannot walk outside. In these Arabic countries, they believe it is *moral* that a woman must dress a specific way and be escorted by a man when outside. Just because you don't personally like it or view it as "moral", doesn't mean that they see it the same way. It still ends up being an issue of morality.

This definitely is not a black and white issue, there are many aspects of extreme ideologies that go along with some of these religious values, and some religious groups and those ideologies are being perceived as "normal" by a large population living within Australian communities. A great example of this is underage forced marriages and medical procedures that are "legally" taking place with young girls, in order to "correct" pre-marital sexual intercourse for the prospect of arranged marriage. I think you will find that these practices majorly contradict other freedom of human rights laws, especially if any of the circumstances in which these practices take place are considered in relation to such laws.

Feminists falsely demonize men, if men said what they say about women that would be a hate crime. Feminism and its lies must be reigned in before society fragments under the pressure of some women's irrational and unjustified hatred for men. great to hear a woman value boy's and men as she does girl's and women. That is equality.

It's good practice to not direct any argument directly at any one person, anyway. Talk generally on wrong and rights, fact or fiction.

I guess you can understand what Labor /Greens are doing, people are starting to wake up in Australia and The Greens /Labor must stop the word getting out. Its cool for the ABC and SBS they are just the mouth pieces of the left, but Labor must stop people talking and spreading the word about them otherwise even the average coal miner might just open their eyes. China, North Korea, Burma and Russia have utilised the smothering of free speech for decades and it has worked for them!

The Labor Government has way too much time on their hands. Next they will make it illegal to speak ill of their party.

Why do Christians feel they have a right to freedom in exclusion of everyone else? It's exactly the same with gay marriage. Because your religion says something is wrong, no one else should be allowed to do it. If I don't believe in the god of the Hebrews, it follows that I shouldn't have to follow his commandments. Why should people be forced to follow your religious laws if they don't want to?

come on mate! you don't know half that story. Just because it is on google or in the newspapers does not make it true. there is another Christian value; judge not least ye be judged - a value that should be universal regardless of religion. i don't care if your Christian or not but logic should dictate that you don't know the full story about sophie mirabella so you are in no position to judge her. and stop being so angry.

Christian prayers in parliment? Its laughable that it would even be considered. Save it for church.

Jesus said to love thine enemy. We loved Iraqis so much we helped kill at least 100,000. Jesus said do to others whatever you would like them to do to you. We lock refugees up for years. Prayer did not stop parliament or Sophie Mirabella from doing these things.

you are right. people do not want gods involved in parliament. its called secularism.

Sophie Mirabella - "A lot of people come to Australia because they want to join us, not change us."..... I know serveral aboriginal people who would take serious issue with that statement.

Thanks gunfiremessiah, your last line "About time you christians started acting like christians, not just paying lip service to it" is indeed a comment believers should take very seriously.

Sophie Mirabella, the same woman who was fucking a bloke 40 years her senior, lived off his money for years, then when he got Alzheimers, made herself the sole beneficary of his will? PS google it, his name was Colin Howard. Yep, her judean christian principles are there for all to see. About time you christians started acting like christians, not just paying lip service to it

Well done Sophie, we need more like you speaking up for truth. When people don't want public prayers, they obviously don't know or want God involved in our parliament or personal lives for that matter. Truth & freedom go hand in hand ! Thank you for speaking up. Janet Peckover

The parliament prayers from all around Australia result: God blessing is demonstrated by the achievements other way impossible! Facts: no war-terrorism in spite of the vast ethnics group. The Mable bar historic point for reconciliation, Kevin Rudd apology as Prime Minister to the "lost generation", economical and military success: East Timor 200 million Indonesia or more and 20 here, Afghanistan incredible few causality still costly! Iraq-gulf war tremendous contribution. Prayer = God grace!
