I only love Filipinos who don't discriminate atheist people, i have not a single problem with someone else having a religion but being atheist doesn't make someone a bad person, or makes them lack empathy in any way.

Philippine culture is geared towards family. It is more matriarchal than patriarchal. While the father is the head of the family, the mother is the soul and hearth of the family and elders are put on a pedestal

philippine culture is a "we" culture and not an "I" culture. it is communal and not individualistic... it is based on the idea or concept of "kapwa", or "bayanihan", or "pakikisama", or "pakikiisa" - to be one with you... that is why pilipino families are very much extended because they include the lolas and lolos (including those from tuhod to talampakan), the titos and titas, and lots of cousins... one more thing, pronouns like "he" or "she" do not exist in the philippine indigenous language... when they mean "he" or "she", they simply say "siya" or "s'ya" or "sya"... sya for a boy... sya for a girl... sya for a man... sya for a woman... sya for an alien... no particular specific pronoun for a male, female, or alien gender
