You have grear taste, your picks are all top notch. I see you tend to keep your fragance palette balanced, not screaming loud.

How does it compare to WOMAN -- which receives very similar critique from others that you've assigned to MAN. I guess MAN doesn't have the floral midnotes so much(?)

For your information. There has been a change. I have a 200 ml bottle Made in France. I recently (July 2024) ordered a new one (125 ml). Now, that one is made in Italy. The same happened with the Pour Homme. 😉

I own the barber shop fragrance and maybe you got a bad batch or something to happen to it but there is absolutely nothing sour to my nose about this fragrance whatsoever. However I do know for a fact that people's sense of smell varies about 30% from one person to another.

Just goes to show how much skin chemistry, sense of smell and personal taste can vary so much from person to person. I'm sure his personal experience with this particular fragrance is entirely valid and truthful as described here. Others will have a totally different experience

Remember, fragrance works DIFFERENTLY with each one’s chemistry. I do receive more compliments with the Dreamer than with Eros. Specially after 5-8 hours after applying.

I own this. I bought a small bottle at first and was on the fence about buying the larger bottle. In the end, I bought it. It works well for closeup situations like in the office, airplane or doctor/dentist office visits. You did a really nice and thorough job of describing this fragrance. Well done!

Body chemistry is a bummer …. Bought the Extreme last week and despite multiple sprays, it lasts literally 20 minutes on my skin. After an hour, there is no trace. Thank goodness it was < £30 or I’d be very unhappy about it. (I’m assuming it’s just my skin, if it’s not, the performance is abysmal. )

Just bought this one. It's got the freshness of the original Colonia, but without the "retro" dry down. Very contemporary, very likeable.

very good review Urban Dweller I also thought about this and have been thinking for months whether I want to pay this amount for this fragrance, but which fragrance would you recommend with these notes? Do you have examples and/or advice? thanks and would love to see more of these reviews :) By the way, this also applies to Creed Erolfa

I’m a bit disappointed to see that you're taking a step back from producing content, assuming it's not because you've transitioned to something even more exciting. I've really appreciated your channel and the clarity and concision of your reviews - your presentation style is quite refreshing, actually. All the best moving forward!

He's on point here. It does have that Sauvage/ Prada Luna Rossa Carbon feel. But as he says in the vid, lot's more herbs, creaminess and barbershop feel.

I just picked this up last night and your right, what a BEAUTIFUL fragrance! And you're right about it coming off a bit fem. I'm Sure its bc of the Magnolia which is pretty easy to pick up, but with that said I'd say this is perfectly UNISEX. Great review. Subscribed😊

I agree with this 100% I just got mine in, and it smells amazing! It's definitely not a lemon pie, I don't get how people get that it does not have the sweetness a pie would have. Now longevity is pretty poor first day, but I knew that going into this by seeing all the reviews. So I knew buying this I was 1 buying it for the name and 2 the scent not the longevity or projection. But all in all happy it's in the collection. Was more of a buy for myself cause I just wanted to experience it. Plus have a bad habit of collecting frags :/

It’s mainly dihydromyrcenol and calone, both are very synthetic. Yes GIT is a super synthetic scent. Of course GIT is higher quality (it costs 300€ after all) and goes more into a green/freshwater direction whereas cool water is more blue/saltwater, but the DNA is the same. A whiff in the air of GIT will be indistinguishable to the average person from CW, because of that memory association he or she has with the main note of both fragrances: dihydromyrcenol. Both were created by Pierre Bourdon after all. Is GIT worth it? Nobody can answer that for you, just bear in mind that you have to want it for yourself if you really can appreciate that step up in quality for a rather generic scent profile (in 2024 at least, im sure it was new and unique in the 80ies). If you want to impress the world and people around you though be ready for a slap in the face when someone mistakes your GIT for CW. The history behind these fragrances is actually pretty interesting, I recommend the book “the ghost perfumer” to anyone interested. Creed is a nasty company, fake heritage and history, stolen formulas etc…
