She has her own kind of "swing" and it's beautiful.

I have loved Joni since the beginning. She played this on my birthday when I was in college.

Thank you so much for posting these early versions of Joni. Just discovered your channel and love it! Wore deep grooves in my Joni albums--they were played so much!

I turned 17 that day, I remember it well all these 60 years later. Not in London seeing Joni, but in the States watching Supertramp perform on their first USA tour. Great music back then....I sure miss it.

"I am as constant as a northern star" And I said "Constant in the darkness Where's that at? If you want me I'll be in the bar" Best lyric ever.

I just thought that. Sounds like that DM C Dm C progression in Bad Co. I dare say her lyrics are a little deeper

Wow. Unique version. Oh! Look at the date! That's the week I got married. Joni is a great artist. Of course, she's a rose with many thorns, but we must accept these complex personalities bearing wonderful gifts. So smile, be gracious, and accept the beautiful presents that she has given us. I hope that she is comfortable and happy.

I wish she had never stopped doing this style of music. I can’t listen to the stuff from the 80s. No one really talks about it either. The early stuff is prodigious.

This song gives me an image of Joni when she was young and so beautiful and full of life and roamed the world looking for fun and adventure....

The piano is so hauntingly beautiful. I've always wondered what she meant by"Caught in the devils bargain". I think that it's profoundly philosophical.
