I need a 3-3.5" mid for my pods. Can you tell me the actual dimensions of the Kappa? I cant find it from any sites that sell it. It looks visually to me about 4" over all and 3+ cut out?
@TheCohesiveGarageАй бұрын
3-1/16 inch or 77.6mm in diameter on the face and 2-58" at the back.

Great video !! I had this installed on my Pilot at my local Honda dealer. They install lifts on all sorts of vehicles though, and with having to lower the subframe, it was a bit above my skill level. They charged my $1200 for the install. It’s been over 2 years, and I haven’t had any issues. I have done some moderate off-roading and it’s held up Great. kzbin.info/www/bejne/lZ29hmmPopmFiqssi=EMaQzP9sYCCZxKoA kzbin.info/www/bejne/qqG0lZqMpbmYqZYsi=CxqlAqToaAv-IdE7

Great video, was able to follow you step by step with 11 Si. New valve cover gasket, spark plug tube seals, and vtec solenoid. Unfortunately I still have an oil leak somewhere on the passenger side.
@MrRedHotChiliMan8 ай бұрын
I can’t remember offhand what it’s called but there is small part right beneath the vtec solenoid that is prone to leaking as well.
@MrRedHotChiliMan8 ай бұрын
Also possibility the vtc actuator, depending on where your leak is.
@CliffSkates887 ай бұрын
Yep! It was the oil pressure switch located right below the vtec solenoid. Easy fix, no more oil leak!

Don't think I understand I thought the whole point of lifting a car was to get more clearance from the ground but if you move the sub frame away from the body the clearance from the ground to the sub frame remains the same The older I get the stranger people seem to be

I just went with custum springs that slightly lifted the van and stiffened it. Didn't need anything else.
@stephencoe4384Ай бұрын
Can you give more info on these?
@muddyriverdogzАй бұрын
@@stephencoe4384 I used Coil Spring Specialist in Kansas. They do a great job. They will ask if you would like a little more lift in the back i said 1/2 inch. I wouldnt go anymore than that as it will set higher anyway with the new stiffer springs.The van doesn't drive like a boat anymore and i never have issues with the hitch dragging or bottoming out. Im very happy with it.

Thining of adding the kappa midrange to my cf set would you say it's worth it im looking for more overall sound highs??its in a 2012 sonata limited. idk where i would put my tweeters are in the corners..
@TheCohesiveGarage11 ай бұрын
Yes I really like the midrange. Its a full sound. If you can pit the mids close to the tweeters or tweets close to the mids I think would be best.
@oslozoya111 ай бұрын
@@TheCohesiveGarage yea idk what I would do..I think the installer was thinking of leaving tweaters in corner and putting midrange at pillar...I was thinking opposite at first but I think he thought it would be too much work??

Retired 3yrs ago from American airlines as a Ground Maintenace mechanic .. 68yrs old alittle rusty on the new stuff. OK, real rusty on the new stuff. :( Always go and look at KZbin vid, before I do anything.. Looks like a descent shop to work at, except the music in the background sucks. Thank you again!
