Soot is from bad fuel, low temperature, or lo draw.if it's not hot enough to burn clean,it's not right.got to have flu DRAW to pull out the soot and avoid crisiet

THEASE STOVES ARENT WORTH A DAM UNLESS YOU HAVE A GOOD HIGH DRAW FLU SYSTEM.I HAVE INSTALLED A FEW,AND THEY DID FINE BUT I HAD WOOD STOVES FOR 30 YEARS AND KNOW WHAT MAKES THEM WORK.SAME THING HERE,DRAW IS THE KEY TO IT WORKING OR SMOKING YOUR HOME UP.

I love the idea of having it be non-electric. The downside clearly, with any of these types of stoves (i.e., Rocket, etc.) is the maintenance. Flicking a switch is what we are used to; working to fill the Hopper, start her up, ash disposal, aesthetically not so handsome to look at, and gotta keep the kids and pets away. I love it but I don't love it. Sending 600 degrees up the chimney to get my house to 70 degrees is the environmental loss I need to also come to grips with. I do appreciate this review and demonstration. Thanks! - Tom

I have this stove and I am located on Ontario Canada. Struggling to keep it running, i think i haven't founs the perfect pellet. Any suggestions? Bought from Home Depot and Home Depot pellets didn't stay burning. I'm not sure if it's me or the pellets, i feel like I've done everything. Maybe not getting enought draft? What pupe do you have running through chimney?

its best to blanch raw slices or shreds a couple 2-3 min before dehydrating, otherwise when rehydrate taste like uncooked, raw sw.potatoes...flavor is enhanced by precooked or blanching

LOL SINCE they don't respond on the issue of "still owning the stove", etc My bet is they got rid of it. ALSO, the Wiseway people don't answer email inquiry at this time; tried multiple emails to see if they still build them and it's crickets.

@@mattfetter4123 I did some checking and sk8John was accurate. I could get no one to respond and the rocket stove, though a kewl idea, would NEVER pass safety laws satisfactorily to be used in a house. HOI would NEVER cover even "outbuilding" fire damage with one of these involved. Classic idea with huge "heat loss" flaws ... Better to build a "cob stove" or true Siberian baffle stove IF you can get your county and HOI to "buy" it.

The stove design idea seems to work well, however it send too much heat out the chimney. Also the burner design seem to cause alot off soot to build up inside the stove tube.
