Another great episode is it possible to join and lesson into the talks live?

Yes you can listen live. The best place to find out about when the talks are taking place is to join Ravenglass Railway Museum's Facebook page. This has details of how to register to attend the talks.

I had a footplate ride on the triple header that PVZ refers to. We were just approaching the Warren when Pete said to me “This little engine’s working hard”, and we stood up and looked behind us. The other two drivers were roaring their heads off, neither loco was working and Sooty mimed throwing some coal forwards to help out.

Is the picture at 43:44 in the shed road next to the platform at Bure Valley shown in this clip a minute in kzbin.info/www/bejne/p4PYaGpjqL6alcU ? Looks like a slightly different track config but those things change over time and there can’t be many big flat blue background walls about?

We think the picture in the talk may have been taken further into the station area at Aylsham where there are the three run round headshunts.

Really enjoyed your very informative talk. Just in case anyone is interested there are 2 copies left of my art book at 78 Derngate. Thanks so much for showing my war book. All advertising greatly received. The designer of New Ways BLs second home in Northampton was Peter Behrens a German Architect. Once again great talk. Christine Sanderson

@21:49 That’s the Ōigawa Railway in Shizuoka Prefecture. Ernest was steam tested there before finishing its journey to the Shuzenji Romney Railway, which was its final resting place. @5:21

Thanks Stuart for posting these talks, I was unable to join in at the time as they were done on a Thursday night which is a volunteer night at aylsham. The photo of flower at 43.30 is indeed aylsham, the chap in orange is a young volunteer Chris gilham and the blue background is a grounded lorry body used as the oils and p.w.store.

It'd be great to sit down with Peter van Zeller with a few albums of historic R&ER photos on hand and just listen to him run through them and talk the history of the line and recount his own memories.

For someone who's bee obsessed with the quirky history of the R&ER from the day I was able to begin reading about it these talks have been a wonderful find full of new revelations. Thank you for uploading!
