what is numpad in 0:56
@_art-hub_22 күн бұрын
It's there in standard full-size keyboard with 104 keys u get numpad. the numpad is useful to change view of ur model to any axis while num keys (1, 2, 3) above the letter use to switch from virtex to edge and face selection. Even if ur not using full size keyboard u can change view with mouse drag or just clicking the axis view located at the right-top of the viewport.

When I save it as a fbx file, the textures disappear. I copy and embled. Isn’t there a way to do that?
@_art-hub_29 күн бұрын
By any chance have u deleted the texture files from ur system after u finished working on ur model? I had done a similar thing before and had to reapply all the texture. If that's not the case with u I'll have to see what might be the issue that is causing this.

This is great, thank you for sharing your knowledge. Can you please show how to make the surface as a solid? So for example, the front bumper section to be solid 2mm thick. I would like to next try print the bumper at 1:24 scale.
@_art-hub_3 ай бұрын
Sure for that you just need to add Solidify modifier. Under that just inside the thickness section type 2mm (by default it takes m value) also check Even Thickness checkbox.
@CiaranWhelan3 ай бұрын
@_art-hub_ Thank you so much, I'll try that again. I've tried to solidify it, but seems to make a mess of the surface.
@_art-hub_3 ай бұрын
@@CiaranWhelan Yes! When you add Solidify modifier with even thickness on. At sharp corners it'll mess up your geometry to avoid that you must fix the corner after you apply the modifier to your model
@CiaranWhelan3 ай бұрын
@_art-hub_ Maybe I can watch a video of you adding thickness to the whole front section?
@_art-hub_3 ай бұрын
Yes! I did but when to make corner sharp u need to add more edge loops which cost you more resources while rendering and it's not convenient while adding shaders, so I disabled it after in the series.

Nice vid, but dont car modellers recommend using loop cuts instead of creases to make sharp edges?
@_art-hub_3 ай бұрын
Thank you! It's not like that it varies from modeller to modeller. If your using loop cuts to sharpen the edges that's fine but when you apply subdivision modifier to it, the mesh getting created there will be too dense to work with and the load on your system as well, which might lead to Blender crash. The basic idea behind modelling is to keep the edge flow simple. If your having trouble reach out to me on discord most time you'll find me there. follow the link in any video description

@_art-hub_8 ай бұрын
I'm getting your point and I already tried it before but the problem with hidden taskbar is that it is time consuming also sometimes it get bugs. When multiple tabs are open simultaneously it is easier to switch from locked taskbar instead of using *Alt + Tab* to get work done fast. Atleast that's what i think.

Try saving the add-on RAR file to defferent location (like on your Desktop) where it is easy for u to find it. Another problem is that your extracting the RAR file before installing the add-on to blender. Do not extract rar file yourself. Go to Preferences >> Add-On >> Install >> (Locate the RAR file) This doesn't help then try re-installing blender once. If the issue goes on join my discord I'll see what can i do for u then.
