thanks for the review, was looking at the Dewalt 735, then came across the Cutech and after much research and seeing your video I went with the Cutech 40600H, just seems like a better value than Dewalt. just unboxed it cant wait to try it out, its my 1st planer. thanks

@@rusticcabinworkshop Just got around to using it for the 1st time and I have to say I am impressed, planed a walnut cutting board and I could not detect any snipe, used a straight edge across where the snipe should be and could not see any light under the straight edge, very pleased I went with the Cutech

Good review right up to the point where you demonstrated the machine. Then it turned into loud dumb music. Would have like to hear the sound level, and if the motor strained, was interested in the maximum cut depth. Can it make a 1/16th inch cut? So many of these box top types can in reality only cut about 1/64th of an inch and a slightly warped board needs a dozen or so passes. Do the carbide inserts allow a better, deeper cut? Do you think that they really last longer? But thanks for the review.

Some of those questions I don't know the answer to, but I was happy with how it ran, and the motor wasn't bogged down. I definitely think that the carbide will last longer - time and more use will tell.
