The point where you mentioned that now you "do things for a purpose instead of doing them for the sake of it" hit a part of my brain. I think I am going to implement in my life making reminders for myself like "purposeful eating" "purposefully using devices/screen" "purposeful spending"

😮I have an example for the child who drew. 😊Early years when I went to my therapist, I always told them I have a very happy childhood. 😢I never knew that it was not normal to be sextually abused many times and my basic needs such as warm room, toys, tv, pocket money were not met.😢

You are right I know few people who often explods or become more egotistical assuming they have to be the center all the time, I think trauma has the desire to express itself. I love therapy if the therapist is compatible with me, thank you for your cideo.

Thank you for sharing this perspective (it came at just the right time for me). I think another factor that plays a huge part in us getting "stuck" in the belief that our ideas are un-original is how intimidated we might be about some of the "great" ideas that have been put out there already. But, in reality, it is as you said, we all have a unique way of telling our stories and giving birth to our own ideas, and that shouldn't be dismissed or ignored. Just imagine how many KZbin videos are out there about the same topic, yet we don't resonate with every single person and their way of saying (probably) the same thing. That's it. Our ideas are unique to us, and hence to the world around us. I think it's time we stop underestimating ourselves and trust more in our calling to share what we feel inclined to share or do.
@daniqsaa7 ай бұрын
Oof being intimidated by the "great" ideas - I sooo relate to that! But then, like you said, I notice how I also resonate more with some creators than others. Because everyone has their own unique voice indeed, so the more creators the better :) And you ended it beautifully, I also think it's high time we trusted our calling 🤍

One of the first videos I found on your channel was about tips on how to live being restfully productive, and it started to shift my perspective on what to focus on. Today, I spent the whole day worrying about time "slipping away" out of my hands for a project I have for next week and haven't started. I think your video came at the right moment for me, because it resonated. I totally get how "fluid" the notion of time is and how it definitely changes depending on how we feel inside and, hence, how we experience/perceive it. I'm still processing what I heard on this video, but I really wanted to thank you for sharing your perspective and those questions with us. I appreciate them a lot.

When I was in the Peace Corps in the Dominican Republic hurricane Georges came through and wiped out all the housing structures in this village except for two cement buildings. I was offered a ride to the city to stay in a hotel but that seemed inconceivable to me. I wanted to stay close to what was familiar to me. Only when conditions deteriorated even worse in a couple days did I get on the next minibus out of the village. Part of this is shock, like a temporary paralysis, to make a change in course or direction.

I really liked the approach of the reasons why a person engages in doomscrolling. In my case, it's usually to avoid overthinking, as I tend to overthink things constantly. What I did was swap doomscrolling for opening Notion and writing down everything that worries me, with all the considerations and back-and-forths. Then I read it and think if it's something solvable. Once I'm there, I don't even remember that I could open social media; it all turns into non-stop writing, haha
