As an owner of PB, I would like to suggest that more details be provided, such as whether the top is cedar/spruce. Although the color of this one looks like cedar. And also what strings are used.

Unfortunately by the time one adds mailing costs, duties etc, they wouldn’t be any cheaper if you bought them from me. So, expensive, yes but worth the cost.

Paulino Bernabe makes his own strings PB Strings. I carry them.

Yes, my M15 has a spruce top too. The difference is, yours have clear notes everywhere, and the high E is strong. Mine has many thubby (dead) notes, especially on the D string after the 5th position. The high E is very weak. There is a huge jump in loudness between B and high E strings. Since I bought it, there are 2 brands of strings it has had, the first one is Savarez Cantiga New Crystal and the second one is Aquila Sugar. Both of them are not suitable. I'll try Hannabach 815MT next time. It's a pity the PB string set is so expensive. I have one set that comes with the guitar, which I am keeping for the last trial.

Bernabe guitars sound best with his PB strings. We carry them, but they are $35 a set. If this is too pricey, you might try Knobach Active double silver carbon (CX) strings. I suggest medium high tension. While we don't carry them, Strings by Mail does, and they run around $24 a set.

I start to like my PB15 after 5 months of playing. I think there are guitars that you fall in love with at the first hearing, but there are also ones that you need to develop relationship wifh.

I bought PB15 Spruce because of all these demos on KZbin. But mine doesn't sound anything like those. It has many thubby notes on bass strings and weak high E. It's very frustrating. I have tried the brightest possible strings like Aquila Sugar, but they don't help.
