We can be angry, but not controlled by anger. We eventually get sad. We cannot let sadness win, ever. Well, we do not ignore these feelings, no way, we admit, they exist, they are here, because we know, anger and sadness can create roots of bitterness in our lives, and we do not want that. And roots become shoots, and then they become trees, which become forests, and then we have a forest of negativity in our lives. What is happening in your life that puts you down is not the entire definition of who you are. This way of thinking puts off your personal growth. Never think that way. You can be angry, just do not let anger take over... you can be sad, but go out and feel the sun... do not let negativity be the center of your life.
