This one was found in kuringai, but it turns out it’s not actually a queen

Have you tried keeping complex myrmecia urens? Or other rare species? I suppose it depends on where you are based as these e.g. urens, picta, abberrans group are more common in australia’s southern regions. Impressive collection man.

Not a rare species, found commonly on lower south east of SA, little desert VIC, eyre peninsula and throughout lower adelaide hills. Just not found on the east coast… Otherwise very great production quality. 👍

Worker, a queen would have larger gaster and darker gaster, and a ˢˡⁱᵍʰᵗˡʸ thicker thorax, but it’s hard because they look so close to eachother

@@yingzhang9539 Cumberland state forest is pretty good, has nigrocincta, Brevinoda, lots of Tarsata and even found a fulvipes queen there once, it’s also not a national park so you can take from it

Mollossus is usually found in the more Western parts, we got so lucky to get her, there were hundreds of queens flying that night hences the Crematogaster queen xD

You want to try and search in more wet forest that have lots of ferns and the soil is rich in detritus and is quite moist but they are insanely rare
