I always loved the real bluesy sound Billy Jo put into this song. He keeps it slow all the way through rather than speed up on the second verse. Much easier to dance to as well !

Met him Backstage at Exit Inn In Nash and we talked about the feather in his hat, which matched mine. It was from a Chickenhawk he confirmed for me, and years later I was honored to sign a quilt with his signature and Kris Kristofferson and other amazing writers when our band was nominated Best Outlaw Group ❤ It was surreal and special to meet and be honored with him. The quilt hangs in Luckenbach TX in a bar and I have a pic of me and him, Rebecca Jed and Poobah all wearing all blue Jean that night #tntuxedos #txtuxedos. 🥃 Cheers 🍻
