I'm trying to replace my Gehl 3510 which is a bit smaller than your 4510, but essentially the same. I'm swapping it with a 3 cylinder Isuzu (25 hp) and see how it fits. It should be very similar to your swap. Any lessons learned will be appreciated.

Have you considered a turbskie set up on your dildo? The Chevy cyclone was faster than the corvettes. But a 5.3 is always a good choice

You did the right thing getting rid of the 292. It was GM’s attempt to build a Ford 300 six and it failed miserably. I’m a Chevy truck owner but it’s the truth. The LS is one of the best V-8 engines ever built.
@redminiongarage4402 Жыл бұрын
Well I will admit that the ls has no where near the low end torque but it sure gets up to speed a helluva lot quicker

@prevost8686 Жыл бұрын
@@Burnside1905 power, torque, reliability and durability. The 300 six was so reliable and durable that there are still hundreds of thousands of them running industrial applications, agricultural applications, and lasted in Ford trucks until the 90s. The 292 just never equaled it in any of those categories. I’m a Chevy truck owner but the 300, especially in fuel injected form, was one of those engine designs that are set apart from others in its class. Kinda like how the LS will go down in history as the greatest small block V8 ever produced.

@@redminiongarage4402 ok good to know. I have a built 350 that’s pushing 450-500 hp but I have a t5 5 speed behind it but I blew it up. I’m rebuilding it now and I’m hoping it’s strong enough to hold and it was just worn out before, but I have a stock 4 speed with the cast iron housing that I’ve heard is indistructible but I have also heard they shift slow which wouldn’t help in any street or drag races. Any thoughts? The t5 shifts pretty fast and let’s me go 85 at 2200 rpms

Haven’t really tried “racing” through gears but I’d imagine having a longer stick throw with heavier gears would make it much slower than the t5. We built the truck for my 16yo son so it’s not supposed to be racing 🤫
