@14:40 in case you were still wondering, the fireworks appeared because you made two thumbs up; Apple added Facetime emotes triggered by hand gestures while on camera and enabled them by default.

The freehand line is the yoyos that helped me learn pretty much all the basics and im sure a lot of modern yoyos would definitely say the same. I never owned an 888 but always wanted one so bad but they was kind of expensive for my family at the time lol. Pointing out how important it was for the mods that later became the standards for a lot of stuff like yoyo response really was a great thing to point out also. I definitely respect your choices here.

Nah, draupnir was definitely a game changer, nobody can overlook its impact
@Bird.MP3Ай бұрын
definitely a valid stance, to me the fact that people kept winning worlds with mostly monometals up through 2019 just puts it on a sliiiiiightly lower level. i wanted to talk about the yoyojam patent and how the draupnir interacted with that but i couldn't really find a good source and didn't want to talk about legal things without really understanding them 😅

I think Mirs routine is going to go down as one of the best because it influenced so many people and the competitive scene it is such a good blend of tech and showmanship that almost all competing players especially younger ones have ran with

Dude this was amazing. I used to watch some of your vids a couple years ago and it makes me super happy to see you uploading again. I think what really made the video so great is the way you broke everything down so easily and made it easier to understand. Jensens 2010 freestyle is what really got me throwing back in the day so that would have been a GOAT for me lol. Cant wait to see more vids. 💯

Yuuki '09 was the freestyle that I watched the most in my early years. I missed my flight to 2010 nationals and was devastated, though it was the best thing to happen because I wasn't ready for Sebby's level and I came back determined. Fun fact: I took a nap for about 30 minutes before I got called on stage. The stars aligned and I'm forever grateful. Love you, Ferdi!

Just found your channel, please do this again with another division cause it was sick to get some context into this sport I am slowly delving deeper into!
@Bird.MP34 ай бұрын
thank you for watching, glad you enjoyed!! other divisions would be pretty difficult, unfortunately - i don't know quite as much of the history or have the same intuition, and also so many of them have one or two really dominant players so there are a lot fewer names to talk about, which i think makes for a pretty different kind of video. i do want to cover the X divisions SOMEHOW eventually, though, so definitely keep your eyes peeled (and i'm not ruling out tier lists entirely :P)
