Bogan? As an Australian I don’t consider Ozzy Man a bogan, mainly because he can string more than two words together that can be understood! I’m not usually into swearing but I find Ozzy Man quite funny with it, like when the Scottish and Irish swear - it is seamless in their vocabulary.

Too sophisticated for the youngsters at that time...Oz Crawl and Cold Chisel were tearing it up....this music sounds like slick east coast product. Beautifully done but wrong for Australia at that time, sadly.

From what I understood, the English batsmen were physically ill before they had to bat. They were risking their lives!

Only band I saw 20+ times. Skyhooks were excellent live, but on stage, Acca Dacca were the only ones in the same class as Doc & the original Angels. Sadly, I have yet to see a recording of them live that shows just how gr8 they were.

Saw Daryl back in 1978 in Tamworth then again last year (2024) in Tasmania. Long time between shows. He didn't sing Ols Sid last year. He hasn't lost it, still great voice and show.

I watched him bowl on a shield match at the Gabba against WA. He started his runup from the boundary The keeper stood halfway between the wicket and the boundary. The keeper was taking the catches well above his head. Great to watch

She was special. I didn't even realize how much she influenced me as a front man until years later. She was mean, and aggressive and confident and controlling. I always thought that Ian Asterbury and Dave Vanian were my biggest influences, but I think Chrissy, Iggy Pop and Mojo Nixon were. Something about her got into me without me realizing it. I would assault band mates and audience members, and they thought it was entertainment. She was insane, and it was beautiful. She also just had that ...swagger. Never mastered that. Got close, but not like that Goddess. I remember the day she died. I was writing in a bar and found out by accident. I spent around fifty dollars to make sure no-one heard anything but her the rest of the night on the jukebox.
