I always thought Fox with Flowmasters was the best sounding car in history. Then I changed my mind when I got my 96 Cobra. They sound like a mix between a Fox and a Formula 1 car. The Formula 1 sound kicks in with the high RPM those motors make.

I have never felt a connection as strong with any car as the rs5. It's just something about it's aggressive looks, performance and wide stance that really shows its presence without being too flashy 😍

Completely straight doesn't sound very good. This car I'm 99.9% has some sort of mufflers on it. No way it sounds that good completely straight. Straight piped into high flow mufflers sure.

Certainly modded! A stock COBRA doesn’t sound like that! It sounds like it has Longtube Headers, o/r mid pipe and Flowmasters

All B8.5 RS 5s are DSG only, but it’s a wonderful transmission for the car

I'm assuming you are planning on adding boost since you are sleeving the motor? I'm planning on getting the AMD supercharger kit for mine maybe this summer and thought it would be cool to build a motor and see what sort of power that blower could make. Interested to see what this build looks like!

Thats the plan. I will be building my own turbo unless i get a good deal on a supercharger. I'm not trying to break records but have the car built well to handle the power and abuse. Sleeving was a two part solution for me. 1. I wanted to sleeve because of the oil and scoring issues audis tend to have over time, and 2. Use better piston rings and handle the power if I go real big. I am working on the new video but weather is harsh right now.

I've gotta rebuild my engine too. Has 167,000mi on it and probably needs new piston rings, valve steam seals, you name it. Let me know some other things you think are necessary once the engine is out! Thanks

Are you just trying to rebuild it as stock or are you planning on adding a power adder? atleast new rings, rod bolts, valve seals, and gaskets all around will be where I start if you are staying stock

@@dereckdeutz if stock just get some new rings, you might want to have a shop re-hone your block that knows about Alusil blocks. After that just do valve seals, new gaskets all around. I would deflapp the intake runners, new king bearings for rods and mains, and get your injectors checked, and before I forget get some new valve springs as you will have the heads off. The rings will be the most expense part which was the reason for me to go aftermarket
