From which version would you be updating? If it's from 3.7.x then you would need to do a fresh install, and I'm afraid 3.7.x profiles aren't compatible with 3.8.x, so you'd need to start a new one. Just head to SPT-AKI and download the automatic installer, it has instructions you can easily follow.

yeah you’re gonna see about 6-12ms increase for input delay, gonna be a bit worse for people with lower-end systems, the more your system is capable of pulling frames without frame gen, the less latency with frame gen you will get.

should be fine but if you start seeing inconsistencies definitely experiment with turning it down

Your input latency/lag is directly related to how high your non-frame generation FPS is - the more frames LS has to "make up" in the game, the more lag/latency you'll experience. Generally frame generation wouldn't be recommended for use in competitive shooter games but if we're talking specifically SPTarkov, the boost in fps is worth it imo.

@@steryyyy wow this is just incredible. I would say that even for normal "competitive" tarkov its day and night. Completely game changer in terms of image fluidity. I am playing in 4k 4090 13900k and of course, SPT has more frame drops than normal tarkov just because the strong use of CPU. I cap the game at 81fps (rtss) in a 165hz monitor and the extra delay added is really WORTH, it is not perceived too much. Cyberpunk, RDR2, etc are going to be awesome. I only have a doubt, could we use the software to add only certain FPS to decrease the latency the most? i mean, if i can get 120fps all the time, could i generate only 40 extra fps? I notice EVERY frame drop while it passes a range of 8-12fps. I want pure stability. I play on a 165hz 4k monitor, 4090 and 13900k ddr5 7400. Those CPU & RAM combo exclusively bought for regular tarkov. I wanted rock solid 144fps in customs at least and this is not possible. There are always frame drops. And this is speaking about regular tarkov. Streets run like 90-110fps. Now lets speak about SPT, it has a really STRONGER use of CPU. Your 13700k (which i returned after test the peformance btw) should sweat for maintain your 120max frames. Dont try to come here being disrespectful. I wasted 7€ and i gave my honest review. Test it for yourself, i was really surprised. Nvidia frame generation adds extreme input lag and this software does not.

i had fps issues with swagnuts, but i recently swiched back to it, i found better spawn to not be as customizable and reliable. also no ai spawning mod works great, default spt handles spawns pretty well, just make sure you have ai limiter

1. Everything is modifiable in SPT, PMC and Scav loot tables literally are almost never the same if you take your time to mod the game to your liking. If you took a half hour of your time to research you’d know that. 2. SPT doesn’t run without having a legitimate copy of EFT, so yes, we support BSG. 3. Sure, it makes sense how SPT is usually behind a couple versions because the SPT devs have almost no monetary gain from this. It’s not a full time job, it’s a passion-project. I can respect your opinion of saying SPT is not better but slandering if you don’t fully understand it makes you look incompetent. That’s all.

@@steryyyy I have played it and modded it myself because I was waiting for pve forever in tarkov. With the legit pve now, no modding necessary no weird downloads, just easy simple fun.

SPT also has like 30 sec. Load times vs. The 3 to 7 min you wait in PVE

the idea is to get somewhat comfortable with the game mechanics and questing on SPT so you'd have less of a struggle and learning curve when switching to EFT, for me at least. I guess the appeal of SPT for many is being able to set the pace and difficulty of the game however they want it to be (also shit tons of QoL, AI, weapon, overhaul mods), which I understand. some people just want to be able to enjoy the atmosphere and gunplay of tarkov without having to worry too much about their performance, can't do that on live, gotta be on your tippy toes at all times. I agree that playing Live feels more rewarding and the high's are so much higher but the lows feel twice as low as well.

I was always a competitive player and tried to be super good in every game. That was like a year ago and I transitioned to more of a casual player. I agree that the feeling is a bit different playing SPT and the rewards feel much higher in normal Tarkov. For me it's just that I want to enjoy the game at my own pace and actually complete all the quest lines. Most of the wipes I just play until I run into some quests where I'm stuck for a very long time and the game is just no longer fun at this point. It's really cool to complete a quest you have been grinding for a very long time but at some point it just gets very repetitive and boring since you are not doing any progress. I just don't like having to play the game in stupid ways because a quest wants me to. Also there are just some maps I really hate. Playing SPT just makes this game more chill and more enjoyable.

As an ex-Live turned recent-SPT player, I just want a consistent experience with the game that isn't curtailed by other players (both legitimate and not) or server performance. It's the primary reason I left to begin with. The changes that the Realism mod brings have kept the experience fresh and challenging (the rifle stances it adds are king), while the SAIN mod has kept the AI from feeling as entirely unrealistic as vanilla scavs while having some headtap protection. Amands Graphics and Fontaine's FOVFix make the game so much more visually appealing as well. Plenty of convenience mods like expanded checkmarks to see what you need for barters and crafts per-item, new shopkeepers with new quests, and lights/smoke/sounds on hidden caches so you don't have to memorize where they all are. If you're jaded to vanilla tarkov, a good set of SPT mods could revitalize the experience for you.
