Turks are NOT "Mongolian". The Turkic peoples ruled the Steppe Belt when neither the world "Mongol" had been around nor what people call Mongolia nowadays was even inhabited by actual Mongolic people.

It has been proven by western researchers that Proto Bulgars were Turkic. And be sure mate it was the westerners who discovered that the Proto Bulgars were of Turkic origin and taught their history in schools. You modern Bulgarians have nothing to do with Proto Bulgars. Today, thousands of articles have been written on this subject, and no one denies it except pan Bulgarian historians.
