After removing the algae with a rake, you need to remove the bottom sediments with roots. This can be done using a motor pump for dirty water and a Bagermaster suction nozzle

Does it save the pairing? Years ago I had a Suunto D9 und you had to pair before every use. Sometimes that was a problem if you make ready to dive, but go in a Zodiac, drive to the spot and when you are in the water you see that sending air does not work because of no changes in gas pressure since many minutes.

Make sure the block isnt destroyed. They arent "freeze plugs" even though people often call them that. They are installed as a part of the casting process. When blocks freeze enough a core plug can pop out they can crack. Otherwise check/refresh your fuel system and you might have a good runner!

No but it’s needed for sure with that 40cf tank I can stay underwater for 4 hour’s depending on the depth I am working at.

carry the rope not the rake back and forth.drag both ways, from tee to basket and basket to tee. or what i have done, 2 ropes pull each way especially if you have a partner on one rope. less walking that way.

I watch quite a few of the search & recovery groups that use sonar. There are specific parameters you need while scanning to get an accurate underwater picture. That’s why sometimes police dept or fishermen etc are not successful and then one of the reach & recovery groups scans that same area and finds vehicles etc. if you were to reach out to any of the groups that have had success (there’s probably at least 1 close to where you live) they will gladly spend some time with you sharing their knowledge. In their videos they even share details so others can do it. I am not a sonar user - but have great respect for those that are… your heart is in the right place for sure - just hook up with someone like Adam Brown, Exploring with Nug, Doug Bishop, Josh Cantù, or whomever you choose. I have a feeling you are near SC, Alabama or on the eastern coast. I’m sorry if you offended… I just feel like you are not going a consistent speed, from paddling your transmissions are not as clear as they could be and you are not traveling upstream which gives the best readings apparently.

Optimum speed for good sonar performance is 1.8 - 2.5 mph. A trolling motor is much better than paddling. Optimum viewing should be set at 75 ft on each side of the water column as well, that way you don’t miss anything along the edges of the body of water. Good luck in your search guys!!
