Reminds me of the old bolo short stories, brings back memories. (Bolo was a AI based tank with a single commander to make final dissensions)

The entire story was for nothing, both sides came to this planet just to kill troops on the ground, accomplish nothing, and then pack their things and leave at the end. The only reason for ground forces is if there is something on the ground that you want. Neither side retained any ground here so it was all a complete waste of time.

The writer of this story must have never heard of aircraft dropping bombs. There is just too much babble in this story about ground assault missions and psychological operations that are completely ridiculous with the technology that both sides should have. The "iron heart" was dropped from orbit and the people they are fighting are also in orbit. Why would either side go to the ground? It is all just dumb.

Let me point something out, something that most people overlook, if you are able to travel through space with ease, there is no reason to touch the surface of a planet unless there is some objective on the surface of the planet. Unless this outpost contains something that you want to retrieve, just bombard it from space until there is nothing but a molten hole in the ground.

Not too shabby,quite good actually.My only criticism would be the AI voice.Use your own voice.Its your story,tell it from the mountain top.Tell it with your conviction, emotion and pride.

A different narrator would make all the difference. The story is too cool to be delivered deadpan.
