Just a suggestion! Between mentioning the different buildings, you could add a title and a number so it is a smoother transition, love your videos btw keep going

Great! There was the same kind of crazy "runway building" projects for Paris river Seine, near the Eiffel tower and "Île aux Cygnes".

I WISH that there was a super tall skinny sky scraper that traveled along a street! HEAR ME OUT!!! I remember learning about a concept for a tower that would optimize space by existing over a major street. So I imagine PARK AVE!!! You could replace the bike lanes with massive rails designed for four sets of inline wheels (Roller Blade Style). They would be in a quad format, wide enough to completely span the width of the street, even the point where it bends, maybe... And the length should be big enough that the tower could span over every intersection and all passenger traffic can pass under. The tower would move at a glacial pace along the straight aways. However, It would be a spectacle whenever it needs to cross a street. It would pause before the crossing and wait until it became late enough. The system would sense the flow of traffic for 1 night to determine which time would be best to make the first half of the crossing. A series of signs will illuminate a countdown which will warn all commuters and residents that in less than 12-16 hours, the intersection will be blocked for 15-30 minutes. (15 for one leg, leaving the tower over the intersection... or 30 to get the whole tower over if the traffic doesnt build past the limits. The tower would have an elevated outer plaza at the lobby level which people can lounge on and use to access the stairwells down to the street. There would be a cafe for residents only (Depending on how easy it is to get tons of people on and off the tower from one of the 4 wheel stair wells.) There would be a freight lift which can reach the street level on either side, which would sit right behind a truck to act as receiving. And fancy town cars can autonomously move very slowly with the tower on either side of the feet to provide a ride for residents ONLY... Getting back is on them, or they can pay for a full round trip which requires more planning. It would be about 20 to 40 floors depending on skinnyness, and it would definitely have a damper at the top and two smaller ones at the middle to help with any added turbulence. If you were a resident, you can expect the tower pilot staff to attempt to travel along the sunset line in accordance to the way it lines up with the streets throughout the year. Watcha think? huh? huh???

Apart from the challenges of evacuating all these inhabitants, I'm afraid building such an earthscraper will create even higher level of social inequality. Guess which floors will provide for the cheapest estate and who will get the most of sunlight. Reminds me of Titanic.

3:20 this is exactly the same blunder/misunderstanding Pliny encountered almost 2000 years ago. It's not that underground caves are resistant to earthquakes but simply the caves we see today never encounter any earthquake strong enough to collapse them, already existing on geologically stable areas from the beginning, and ones that collapsed are not "cave" by definition. It's survivorship bias.

Fun Fact: the spire of the Empire State Building was designed to be a mooring point for giant airships, so they don't have to venture far into countryside for wide open field for landing. Go figure why most of you never heard of this.

Designed but never actually realistically considered. It was considered too impractical even back then.

It was never really put into mainstream function as loading and unloading passengers, luggage, crew, goods, cargo was via a very steep, very narrow and potentially deadly air-staircase. It's like climbing the stairs outside Hudson Yards at their building climb thing at the top. Except you're strapped in for that, the Empire State mooring point wouldn't strap in passengers back then.

The River Thames airport/bridge at the end reminds me greatly of similar designs in Second Life (game/metaverse). Constrained by 'region sizes' people just built grey slabs high above the 'terrain' often with buildings and waterways underneath

I was stunned by your first video and I'm stunned by this one again! Only suggestion I would have is to lower the volume of the classical music pieces in between, to match the volume of your voice in the other parts. Just my 2 cents ;) edit: just noticed you this is your 3rd video and I missed the second one somehow
