Sounds so good. Reminds me of King Crimson's "Frame by Frame"

Hi Greg, I just came across this video. Great playing! I was curious how you are anchoring the stick while sitting. Are you resting it on a base or is it in your belt? I have trouble sitting comfortably while playing and was trying to think of a way to get it in a better position.

hi! Sadly, Mr Howard passed away from cancer Apr 2023. FWIW he has the stick rest on a lap bar if you look at the bottom of the frame to either side , you will see wooden "wings". There is a slight dip in the middle you see arnd 14:30 that makes the stick sit a little lower. The bar rests on the player's thighs and then the stick rest on the bar via the stick's belt hook - so in short it's supported by his thighs

@jimwinger Thank you very much for the info. Sad to hear of his passing. Wow, sad day, I also just heard of David Lynch passing away today. Time is moving along, isn't it! Thanks again, Jim. Dan

I have the same keyboard. I would appreciate if you can make a video how to load Indian beats and instruments on the keyboard. Also where can I find the latest patches for instruments and beats. Thanks.

Oh dear, it seems the Almighty Algorithm just introduced me to Greg long after his passing. May the legend live on!

Got my Stick many moons ago at their place in Laurel Canyon. Emmett and Yuta were/are lovely people. Met them many years later with my pre-teen daughter and they couldn’t have been nicer. Lives well lived ❤

At about 1:56 he just goes into the stratosphere. Some of the most insane stuff I've ever seen. Crazy.

I just discovered this and I'm finding out the man is gone? This is simply insanely good stuff.I have seen Tony Levin live. This guy takes it to a different level. Wow.

Just read and saw he died quite some time ago, RIP. First, this instrument looks impossible to play. Second, this guy was better than anyone I’ve ever heard, and I’ve watched nearly everything available on here.

How do you play a harmonic on a hammered instrument? I heard toward the end.

Great video. I do think I will start using terms like "up-fret" and "down-fret" to confuse my guitar students though.

The word you are looking for is nonuplet. In music, a group of nine notes intended to take the place of six or eight.

I used to see the guy who invented the stick on 8 street near the corner of 4th av in the East Village (New York). I'd pass by on the way home from work and he''d be there letting the world see his new creation. It was much shorter than this one, more like the length of a guitar. This was in 1973 .
