hey, i like your setup. i have a bit of an issue on linux mint, i installed stepmania through the software manager but it just won't start. after uninstalling it i downloaded the linux version on their official website but it also won't run. do you have any advice for me? i'm still pretty new to linux

I can't help with installation, especially if you don't give me any error message or logs. Ask on stepmania's github issue tracker github.com/stepmania/stepmania but you might not get a response because development appears slow. Maybe r/dancedancerevolution as r/stepmania is kinda dead too

yes you just install stepmania, optionally with some theming to make it look more like a real DDR cabinet. you can ask any questions here or r/dancedancerevolution or zenius forums

idk who that is. selling Benjamin is just because he loses money on bloon trojan. after round 60 tho most money comes from farms not pops so it's not a big difference

I haven't been on ORE in years but it's probably because you're guest/visitor rank. Only members can interact with components and build on their plots. If the system is still the same as before, you can easily apply to be a student and build in Student world.

I made this 12 years ago and haven't done redstone in years. It's so old it uses the old practice of measuring build heights assuming there's a flat ground. I have never seen a JK flip-flop used in practice

I put in the description where you can get official DDR charts on ziv site. Also songs may be timed wrong but I would calibrate with the mat because they may be designed for keyboard.

I find that if you find a way to get the bar up against something and put one of those exercise grips on it, it's totally workable and fine. I use it this way and it holds up to serious play pretty well.

I know that I found a KZbinr called KK clue he also does ddr videos Only not a lot only two videos or about dance dance revolution he also has a pad like this and on his end the joints for his handle doesn’t really hold together well to keep it tight they are very very poor

You can have a simpler setup with a torch powering the block on top of it, and being inverted with a dust on the block it is attached to. If you unpower the dust for 2 ticks, you end up with a long 1 tick pulse, without the complex and slow apparatus all around.

Thanks for the unboxing. I've been thinking about getting a setup for Stepmania. Right now, I've got a couple of DDR games for Xbox with a soft pad. The soft pad has corner buttons for A, B, X, and Y, plus two extra buttons for back and start (kinda like your Wii pad). I noticed the L-TEK pad only has the four arrows; is that enough to control everything in Stepmania without walking to your keyboard? And can you pause or cancel in the middle of a song?

the mat alone as shown in the video doesn't have extra buttons on the pad. after I bought it L-Tek introduced optional start/select buttons which I've never tried but I imagine are useful. anyway the actual DDR machines have buttons on the cabinet part so I don't mind using my laptop to control and select

DDR use barefeet or shoes to make sure you don't slide or fall of. Speciely on heavy songs like MAX 300

each is an instrument. the NES by default has 4 wave-generators and 1 sample player. 8bitdanooct1 has a good introductory famitracker tutorial.

I bought the Classic 101 March 2021 and now September 2023. Used a few times and was put into storage. Recently rediscovered and noticed "P" key was acting erratic requiring two or three taps to make contact. Contacted Unicomp and was given RMA but would cost $48.00 plus $16 shipping. After doing my own disassembly I found all but 6 plastic rivet heads were broken off. Unicomp claims this issue was resolved before I purchased in 2021. I would not advise purchasing from Unicomp based on my experience.

There is an easier way to prime comparators if you get rid of the repeater and just use 2 observers and behind them have a rail or redstone the update order will mean one powers slightly before the other priming the comparator
