That was magnificent!! The days where Disney can get away with just doing the bare minimum is hopefully drawing to a close.

How is Universal able to do all this? Where are they getting the money and ambition? Do they want to be the #1 theme park in Orlando?

I heard Disney is constantly suing their contractors and this is what is delaying everything. I’m not sure if the lawsuits are about shoddy work or what🤷🏾‍♀️Been working with contractors for at least 15 years now and you can’t always accept the LOWEST bid. They ALWAYS, and I mean always request change orders until your cost end up double the original proposal. Not only that, I’m sure they tried to retrofit all the animatronics to save money💵 It just ain’t gon work, Bra🙂‍↔️

There's a reason why the original Splash Mountain animatronics were made with hydraulic parts. Having advanced electric animatronics susceptible to heat and weather conditions, in a placed known for having issues with moisture and hot weather, was kinda of a bad idea.

Hopped here from the other video. You got to ride!!! I knew you’d love it!!! Most of the critiques I’ve seen are from folks who just wanted to hate this and are sad about Splash. I do think there are a couple spots where they could be a few more things but it’s got more than Splash ever did. Spoilers: The story is that you start by looking for musicians for the celebration in the bayou. Then when you “shrink” you are looking for the right “sound.” Which the fireflies bring. :). So it’s a hunt for musicians and song.

Hahaha I laughed during the beignet review. Just looking at it in the video I could tell they weren’t on par to Port Orleans 😂

I was ready to get all over your case. But once again, as a new subscriber, I kept watching and man… I gotta say I feel exactly what you are saying!! First, I was able to ride Tiana’s Bayou Adventure in the first day of Passholder previews. Barely. It broke down for HOURS after a very very delayed opening. I got group 40 and boarded at 5pm. Halfway through the ride stopped due to inclement weather. Fortunately it started up again and I finished the ride. And honestly… it was great! A total improvement and best animatronics to date. So I’m sorry you haven’t ridden. It’s fun and you’ll love it. Also. Port Orleans Royal guest rooms are some of our favorites too. 😂 That said, when you talked about how die hard fans are losing faith in Disney… YES! I’m a super fan. But I’m tired of the let downs. I’m tired of things taking forever and nothing coming out as promised. Cherry Tree Lane? Play Pavilion? World CelebrationTerrace? And I’m tired of the increasingly unavoidable sense that everything Disney is related to “the bottom line.” Getting nickel and dimed everywhere. Things getting cut for budget reasons. Things scaling back from what is promised. Perks being dropped. Costs skyrocketing. It’s clear… Disney is focusing on $$$ and living in fear of losing it. And thus losing its way as a company. Meanwhile I look at universal. And they seem to be like.. “hey. Let’s innovate. Let’s invent. Let’s be immersive. Let’s be as creative as we need to no matter the cost. Let’s focus on the experience we can create.” And that is EXACTLY what Disney used to be!!!

On the heels of yesterday's rant, the ride God's smiled down on you and got you on. LOL. Can't wait to come down and ride it later this year but I do agree. From everything I have seen, there seems to be several spots that are light on content. Hopefully they get the bugs worked out as they cannot afford to have this go down frequently especially with the upcoming Big Thunder refurb coming.

There are so many restaurants and so much food at Disney that a ride about a restaurant and food seems somewhat monotonous. Plusthere's Tianas Palace restaurant at Disney Anaheim. Not sure about WDW but I imagine there's also a Tianas restaurant lolol. A little overkill if someone asked me.

Disney has been taking a step back for sure. Universal is just so easy to do and less of a mission.

You ranted about how long it takes Disney to build stuff now compared to other major projects in Orlando. I'll pose a question: If you fire some of you best talent (imaginers) causing many others to become uncomfortable and leave on their own. And many now work with USO, what do you think will have to each companies ability to work on projects? It's simple math. 2+2=4

The only I problem I see with universal is they don’t have the movies and characters that my kids and I love. So even when they do a good show, it’s full of characters we know nothing about and just isn’t endearing.

Some are questioning if they used the wrong animatronics for that ride.

Great Video with what is already coming and what to look forward to. Glad you took the time to lay out what the future may hold. At the end of the day Epic Universe is more infrastructure to support guests and more competition to keep Disney and other parks on their toes to either expand or refresh what they already have!

What I love about this is the fact the the park matches the concept art. I remember Disney used to do that.

Yes man I’m def very VERY excited for epic universe my favorite being Nintendo world but I’m excited for all lands they all look amazing! Also super pumped for beyond epic universe and future expansions hope to see future nintendo highly themed hotels and future parks. All of this is going to be a game changer for Orlando indeed

How is it not about the ride if you cannot ride

The ride was down for like almost 1.5 years for the re-theme. They should have overhauled the entire track and ride system and fix the 30 year old ride. I am expecting a Tiana refurbishment announcement where the ride will be down for 6 to 8 months to "FIX" the 30 year old ride. I hope the electric animatronics are weather rated for the hot humid cement building. The previous animatronics were "sealed" weather proof and had pneumatic movement. One of the Tiana animatronics already had the shirt sleeve slip exposing the metal arm. Hopefully the moisture and swamp water Biolife forms do not get inside the figure and damage the electric systems which was not a problem with the old pneumatic animatronics.

Look, I didn't want Tiana's Bayou Adventure to replace Splash Mountain any more than you did. I wasn't thrilled that Disney's only attraction based on African-American folklore was being erased. But I don't think the new ride is that bad. It's pretty decent with some flaws. And it's not the only new Disney attraction that has broken down a lot after its initial opening.

The last time I was at a Disney Park was in 2005 in Disneyland (my only trip there), but many times in the 80's and 90's at WDW (I actually worked there in the 90's). Anyway, we are thinking of going this year, but I don't think we'll get the passes first of all I can't afford it. Next of all, I don't want to support something I don't agree with, and most of the things I want to see and do are probably not the most popular (except Soaring and Peter Pan's Flight). I do like that they put a limit on it. Some people have made comments that it should be unlimited like some other parks. I think this is where Disney got it right. If people have more money and can be unlimited, the rest of us will be paying for a ticket to get in but have even longer lines. I think it is so unfair. It is another separation of the super rich and the rest of us.

First off like most people are saying she should have gotten her own ride, but if you were going to replace splash Mountain with her, at least make the ride based off the movie not this brand new story that people don’t know., The fact that there is no standby line and they are forcing people to either get in the virtual queue or Pay for a lightning lane for a ride that people could just stand in line to ride previously is insulting and it’s another reason why people are not going to Disney anymore that is the ultimate example of nickel and diming your customers

I'm with your views but Disney is very disappointed me over the past 5 years. Take EPCOT, which is a favorite of mine, but I will not go back there until they get rid of the nighttime fireworks show, it sucks.

Drew the Disney Dude and a friend of Orange Grove 55 independently confirmed through CMs (one being a ride engineer) that WDI was pressured to meet the June 28th deadline. Not acceptable! Soooo we're giving Disney until August to work the bugs out. 😅

I missed my preview and didn’t get a virtual Queue on opening day either. I have watched videos of the ride and it looks fun. Like all the Music. I am a long time Disney fan. I think they will fix the issues. Rise of the Resistance was a much bigger blunder when they opened it up. Having to be in the park at 7am to try and get a virtual queue. It still has a lot of downtime and they have not fixed the cannons. Guardians, Tron and new Fantasyland are amazing! Hopefully AK expansion will be as well 😎😁

They should have made an ORIGINAL attraction for Tiana....and left Splash Mountain ALONE. If they had designed an indoor Tiana dark ride and put Dr. Facilier as the villain in there...from the ground up...in the REAL Bayou...it might have been a super hit!
