I feel like toon lagoon is under rated. Don’t get me wrong the ip could use some updating but the rides are some of the few water rides you will get soaked on 9/10. On a hot summer florida day this is my favorite place to be at a theme park

I feel they will keep Zelda away from Epic and do a similar thing to Potter, a land in each park, Super Nintendo, Donkey Kong and Luigi’s Mansion in Epic, Zelda in Islands and Pokeman in Studios. The way they’ve split Harry Potter across three parks.

In ten years time when Universal have added Creatures From The Black Lagoon horror boat ride, Luigi’s Mansion, Potter Hall eatery, Lord Of The Rings land, Zelda land, Pokeman land and more, .. and Disney have added Villians land, Cars expansion, Monsters land, Tropical Americas, Avatar water land, Encanto ride etc, all the Universal and Disney parks are going to be insane ❤. We are entering the golden era of park expansions.

I think that, if Wicked really hits, it’ll be new #1 priority for Epic’s expansion plot. It’s a Universal IP, everyone knows Oz, it would appeal to young girls, etc.

If Universal puts Pokémon in Studios, Zelda in IOA, and LOTR or another major IP in Epic, I really do think it could be game over (pun intended). A lot more families would be forced to choose one or the other simply due to limited time, money, & stamina, and I think most who aren’t hardcore Disney fans as it stands would probably choose Universal.

I would be fine if Universal Studios does a Pokemon land here in Florida where there is actual space for it

I love all the parks but Disney is still my favorite. I am excited for Epic Universe but don’t think it’s going to live up to the hype. Universal’s original parks are in sad shape IMO. I want Disney to take back Marvel because Universal has done nothing with it since Islands opened. Toon Lagoon needs a retheme. Lost Continent is a ghost town. Studios side has been destroyed with Minions and Simpsons. They got rid of all the shows except Borne and Horror Makeup. Want to see more adult attractions not Pokémon and Zelda. I love Harry Potter but they need to stop they are wearing out the IP

I honestly don't even know what kind of ride would make a Pokemon eticket. I don't want anything that requires you to do work ( read: throwing pokeballs). Im tired interactive stuff. All the games in Super Nintendo World get boring fast. You can only play the same games over and over before you get tired of it. I do hope that you can buy actually really life like pokemon teddy bears. .. Honestly i wish they spent the time to refurb the Jurassic River adventure. That ride needs help stat. Regarding Zelda. Why would they not just put Zelda as an expansion to super Nintendo world? Seems to make better sense. Save lost contingent for something else like LotR

Popeyes is still the best rapid ride in Orlando, maybe the US but I haven’t traveled much so I’m taking a leap of faith on that one. It is so long, delightful, zany, and full of surprises. Iconic IMO, and I will be heart broken if Universal does not cherish SOMETHING they created and rips it all up. Why can’t Universal properties get defended like Disney’s culture defends everything opening day? Popeye’s deserves to be preserved so we can hear our grandkids shocked laughter at the most extreme water ride in town. That’s why it’s quintessential Universal, Popeye’s especially-Universal took theme park ideas other people were already doing and cranked them to the extreme. Remember their original advertising campaign for Islands? “Pixie dust not quite your thing?” They have always been known for going the extra mile in thrills and visceral experiences, and Popeye’s is the standout water ride experience. EVERY rapid ride says, “You will get soaked.” Popeye’s is the only one that follows through 100% 🤣 tread softly for you tread upon my dreams

I think Cars Land would be great...just NOT in that location. Maybe theme the vehicle to a safari style and add it to Animal Kingdom, with an African theme. Or maybe somewhere in the Studios.

Current Disney leadership would never deserve LOTR. They destroy everything that matters. They would smear it with their weird perspectives like Amazon did, and like they did with Star Wars. Universal has earned the right to be trusted based on their handling of obviously HP, Suess and JP, and Marvel/the comics even. They believe in respecting the author and source and seem to allow their artists to work. I love LOTR, half for its brilliant and authentically pure storytelling, and half for its breathtaking beauty. To walk into that realm like Lothlorien or Rivendell, even the charm of the shire would be fantastic! Especially for those of us who can’t, say, visit Scotland IRL 🤣

I recently read and heard that it still being built at Rivers of America. Rivers of America was Walt’s dream not Igers dream. Leave the land alone. Nobody wants it where you want to put it.

I wanna see a batman theme land like based off of batman animated series and Gotham tv show and i also wanna see a dragon ball theme land for dragon ball they'll be a 3-D or 4-D show like goku vegeta and z fighters vs the big bad og villians from past and as for batman you'll be in gotham city like see the characters from batman animated series some from gotham tv show

I'd love an area of Epic Universe dedicated to the Energon universe.

If you look at their concept art, there is an obvious section of river right where you suggested they put it in your graphic. I mean, I can see it right now to the left of your shoulder. There's what's clearly a pedestrian bridge crossing over it. There's also the runoff from the mountain's cascade, which turns into a river separating two sections of the rally ride. Imagineers are obsessed with the geographical progression here: It starts off where the US was born (Liberty Square), moving literally westward from Philadelphia to St Louis, the point where most westward expansion began. Here it crosses the "Mississippi" - which is underground, but is clearly represented by the stream coming from the fort and under the wooden planks separating Liberty Square's concrete from Frontierland's. On the other side is Texas, also obvious via many references in the shops here. Then it's a little more westward to the orange-hued rock formations of Arizona/Utah. Turning Splash into Tiana's messed with the progression, and Tiana's Palace will really cement this geographical nonsense. So the obvious solution is to turn all of Texas into Louisiana, something that can be seen in the concept art, and then move the progression northward (in the park) instead of westward. The obvious way to do this would be to leave at least part of the Rivers to represent the Mississippi running through Louisiana, which is what we see in the concept art. But they've taken the progression an obvious step further by then adding the Rockies to the other side of the Mississippi, and you can see the range running parallel to all the Frontierland buildings. As a progression, it's genius. The Cars ride will be themed mostly to Yellowstone and Yosemite, both of which are on the other side of the Rockies, as is Big Thunder's Monument Valley. In reality, though, it could be rough. The "Mississippi" does seem to be more tree-tastic than the area currently is, which will add a nice "frontier" feel to the area. But mountains are not easy to get right. They usually work as backdrops, but in the midst of the action, they tend to come off as extremely man-made (see the Matterhorn). That stupid thing on top certainly isn't going to help matters. And they aren't a great thematic addition to very-flat Louisiana (hopefully, they add A LOT of trees). I think the size of the biggest "Rocky Mountain" is telling, though. Mini-mountains would tend to fulfill the geographical progression - they would totally match a mini-Mississippi - so why such a big one bordering three different lands? I think it's more necessary than thematic. I believe the Rivers of America feeds the Hub's moats and the Jungle Cruise from here (via underground pipes, as is the case in Disneyland), and drying up the Rivers would mean a new costly system for those waterways. Also, thanks to how Florida works, they can't just get rid of existing reservoirs, especially one as important as the Rivers of America, which is currently the overflow reservoir for the park. The government apparently did not like Disney's idea for new reservoir locations, so Disney went back to the drawing board and I have a sneaking suspicion that mountain will be hiding a reservoir system that will help solve both of these problems. I also think much of the northern section of the Rivers will survive as well, as the area surrounding the larger island makes up about two-thirds of the current Rivers. While a reservoir-hiding mountain seems like a costly way to fix the problem, it allows them to maintain most of the rest of the Rivers, making it the easiest, and cheapest, solution. There is minor proof of this in the concept art as well. The path between the Haunted Mansion and Big Thunder is mysteriously foggy on the right side of the concept art. But at the top of this path, there's an obvious right turn guests can take, which is undoubtedly the entrance to Villains Land and most likely the tip of that island. Below this entrance, there's an area that appears to be water. If you follow the path left towards Big Thunder, there are a lot of trees lining this side of the path, and then a whole lot of nothing between them and Big Thunder. Because I think the Rivers will still be there, thematically separating the forests of Cars Land and Villains Land from the treeless Big Thunder. There's really no reason a river can't remain here, and lots of reasons why it should. A roller coaster can go over water (just add brambles and fog), and the foreground of that concept art features water theming. The other ride building can sit behind the Haunted Mansion, and we'd obvious enter it via a drawbridge. This leaves the entire island for everything non-ride-related (which was basically the plan for when Coco and Encanto were going to go here). That doesn't mean it'll happen. While Disney does not care about the reactions of the "influencers" - their emotions tend to stick to the extremes, as noted by the non-sensical reactions to the "dirt track" and to the hilarious oxymoron of a "high-speed trackless" ride - the total lack of enthusiasm from the general public has not been great. It would be very easy for them to just eliminate this land and instead add in the "lady in waiting" Moana version of the Shanghai Pirates ride system. They could also just use the smaller island for a future Villains Land expansion and please the Disney Adults by not destroying the Rivers. But that "test track" tells me they're locked in. People have been clamoring for a Radiator Springs Racers in other parks, and this is their way of making it happen without having to build a costly re-creation of that land. Disney Imagineers always believe they can prove the public wrong if they just make something good enough, and they're often right. I think this is the next hill they're choosing to die on. That said, if Moana 2 goes to town on the box office, they might end up switching to that anyhow, because the only thing Bob Iger understands is money. We shall see.

Didn’t they show footage of the test vehicles at D23 in Brazil for Cars land at WDW? How could it be cancelled. They were like trackless golf carts. Nothing exciting. Granted the vehicles shown were not the actual ones. But they were not impressive at all.

Maybe replace Tom Sawyer’s island with a dining experience and they might be able to retain some of the charm of the island And the river And that might ease some of the wait times at some of the attractions as well

Tom Sawyer Island is the coolest part of the park. A great place to escape and relax for a bit. Replace tomorrow land, that is boring.
