Not trying to be funny here .. but he got in a car blind with not much MOT left and managed 170 miles. We are talking tv here .... the trip from the Midlands to Hull is something like m42, m69, m1 m62 a63.....saw loads of footage of country lanes that would be unlikely to feature on this trip. They may not have been the height of refinement but they did provide cheap and rugged motoring for many people. The FIAT version was actually considered a good car... except for rust ... but that did for almost every car until the late 90's came along.

A mate of mine was involved with sending Lada's back to Russia in the early 90's. He said it was the best time he ever had in the motor trade. Him and two other guys took out a £100 a month finance agreement on a brand new Cinquecento to use as the chase car to drive round the north of England buying up Lada's. A Russian ship Captain up in Hull gave them £400 profit on each car and the lads were making a couple of trips a day to Hull. The story about rotten body shell's being dumped over the side of the ship is absolutely correct.

As a Lada Niva owner, I disagree with everything said in this video. It’s one of the best car I’ve ever got into. It’s rugged, cheap and easy to repair and importantly fun. I never smiled so much while being in any other car. I’ll never get rid of it!

Aaa.. suspension travel is bad for hadling. The corado has basic McPherson strut and live axle. Its nose heavy and does not have an lsd.itw the only with odd proportions. In spite of that im 50/50 on corado/prelude. The cavalier just gives me no emotion
